  1. Just check here. It has the blaster requirements, together with some of the rivet placements too. You will need the Doopy Doos (or similar) upgrade for EIB. Basic Hasbro blaster doesn't have any of the top 5 requirements. http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt
  2. Not sure what you mean by that one Kyle. For EIB you still need, as a minimum, an upgraded Hasbro kit with folding stock, etc. Have you already got a blaster or will you be building one?
  3. There is specific placement where the side rivets go, etc - the visible ones. Sorry can't search at work, but yes there are specifics there. The actual strapping - no. Anything that is not visible doesn't have a set requirement.
  4. Check my thread on painting boots. Mine are a rubber based boot and so far the vinyl spray seems to be doing well. After each coat I did a bend test and no cracks. A bit early to test against armor scrubbing, so I won't guarantee yet... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27403-another-boot-thread-but-with-spray-paint/ Regarding the snaps/straps/rivets - there is no right or wrong way for EIB/Centurion. Which ever method you prefer. Check out all the other build threads and EIB/Centurion threads to see how others have done it.
  5. Just sign up for photobucket.com. It's free and easy. That's what I use Well, stop typing and get to it
  6. The boots are also rubber based, which is why I still consider this an experiment. But the flexibility tests are holding up so far. Another couple of coasts to go I think. Haha, yeah. I didn't quite laugh, but close. I did exaggerate the photo a bit by peeling some off, just to hightlight the result. I thought they were latex. They are the Trooperbay ones. I've got my eye on a set of your white rubber ones if these ones don't work. Vinyl paint isn't sticking to the elastic on the boots so I need new paint for that. I'll try that same paint on the guards too. If not, PM incoming
  7. I actually just LOL'd. Thinking of "Tim the very useful engine". Sorry, young kids, watching a lot of Thomas the Tank engine at the moment. (I assume you get Thomas in the states?)
  8. Finally getting some progress made... Check this thread for my Boot and hand guard painting process: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27403-another-boot-thread-but-with-spray-paint/ With my third purchase of snaps, these ones seem to be working well, so can finally get some glued on. Well, after grinding the old ones off, these new ones back on. And the shoulder bridges measured, marked and glued. I'll be able to wear the torso section soon. Woo Hoo!! Also, sold my Stormtrooper Undersuit (was too big) and bought some compression gear from Kmart. $20- top, $20- bottom, Can't go wrong with that.
  9. So at this point, all appears to be going well. It seems to be sticking, seems to be flexible, so I thought I'd give my latex hand guards a coat too The ones I bought were off white so needed to be painted. One coat Three coats Flexibility test. Aaaaargggghhhh!!!!! Back to the drawingboard! Will look into the recommended fabric paintsfor them. It appears still to be ok on the boots, so I'll keep going with them. Must be something to do with the latex compared to rubber. Dunno...
  10. Usaeatt2 mentioned it in another thread about using Vinyl Spray, so I thought why not. Surely it will work..... So, the boots - El Cheapo horse riding boots. Rubber based sole and top, but they had the right stitching and were only AUD$49.95, so well worth the 'experiment'. Bit of a clean with: And the can of choice: One Coat Two coats Three:
  11. Looking good Diego. The experts (not me) probably won't say too much about the quality of the armor, but may comment on a couple of fitment areas - you left calf doesn't appear to be closing correctly and I think by lowering your biceps a little will close up the elbow gap a bit and possibly do away with that angle their sitting at. Good job overall!
  12. Truly amazing! But unfortunately not inspiring, cause there aint no possible way I would even contemplate trying to do this. Keep it up though Aaron!
  13. Not required to be scuffed anymore. That requirement was removed a short time ago.
  14. Thanks Steve. That was one of my other delays. Waiting for boots to come in stock. I have them now, so full steam ahead!
  15. Ah yes, tapering the whole thigh from top to bottom (knee). Yes, I'll make sure I try to get that right
  16. They'll do the job just fine! Can you touch up the bits where the white meets the black? I'm about to start my boots, but will be trying something a bit different.....
  17. Sorry, what do you mean by that Adam?
  18. Great start Wookie, er Sam. We love Doopy build threads here
  19. Nice work Jason. You smashed all that out!
  20. Excellent write up Derek.
  21. Sorry Steve, if you check his thread pretty sure he used aluminum.
  22. Pretty much Adam. Just haven't trimmed the thighs. Waiting till I can wear the torso properly to line them up. I paid a bit more to buy the snaps locally (instead of the US) so hopefully they arrive soon.
  23. Pic stolen from usaeatt2's build thread http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26960-e-11-steel-pipe-build/page-5?. The 1/16 will be a LOT easier to bend and probably more screen accurate too. Good luck Jason. Most of that shouldn't be too troublsome for you.
