  1. Looking good so far, can't wait to see it finished
  2. Congrats and welcome to the ranks trooper, now start tweaking
  3. Most buckets you can see a ridge from the vacuum pull, best advice is to check out others build threads if you are unsure how far to go, good luck
  4. Looking good, just take your time on the ears, they are the worst part of the build, take off a little at a time, less is more
  5. Some sharpies react with the thinners in paint and may run, but do try a test piece and just do very light coats with a good wait in between, even standing by with a heat gun or hair dryer may be helpful
  6. No problems Ruck, thanks for the feedback, will be making binders for a while yet, not sure when the next E-11 build will be, keep you informed
  7. The screen shown position of the strap on the chest plate is one large ridge and 4 and 1/2 small ridges, as the ATA chest plate is different to most you can only fit one large ridge and 2 and 1/2 ridges on the chest plate.
  8. Head to the getting started section to find vetted armor suppliers
  9. Depending on height and fitting some cut out a section on the rear of the thigh and calve, this is screen accurate so it is approvable. AS I have long legs I didn't have an issue and to this date not suffered an armor bite, but I am one of the lucky ones You can see the sections removed in the photo below
  10. Part of this hobby is research, head to the getting started section for all your questions
  11. Cover strip stops before the bottom ridge raised section
  12. Pictures would be helpful
  13. Looking good, just round the corners a little will stop them catching
  14. There had been a lot of parcels lost or missing pieces sent to the US, hence why doopy's will no longer post to the US, we have no problems with parcels getting here in Aus
  15. Congrats and welcome to the ranks trooper
  16. There was no template, I found some rough measurements over at the French 501st forum here, I then used the SE-14R as a guide for sizing and took it from there, below is the photo posted by RS propmaster of what it looks like
  17. With my ATA and my skinny arms I just added a couple of pieces of foam inside to keep the forearms from sliding around. If you glue Velcro to the pieces of foam you can remove them for washing
  18. Awesome thanks Mathias, I had only just pm'd Eric to find out how it could be changed
  19. Yes the stickers I received from trooper bay are 16mm wide. Be great if we could change to dimensions in that tutorial
  20. Looking good so far
  21. Perhaps this may help http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/33-howto-make-your-own-tube-stripe-masking-stencils/
  22. Exciting, can't wait for photo's
  23. The pieces of abs are glued to the back section, they fit snug behind the front section when closed, the elastic keeps it all tight together and the abs strips behind the armor stops the sides being forced out.
