  1. Seriously, the folding stock is pointless....There is no reference to it in any of the movies. So why bother...?? Adding a folding stock to the DD kit is like adding a hat to the mona lisa.......... --------
  2. I can send you a pdf file for a clear laser cut stand as in the my photo below...take the file to a laser cutter and it should cost less than $30... -------
  3. Excellent work... .....scope weathering is perfect....counter a little too much, only because you've focused the weathering towards the front....as you know...great job though......
  4. I appreciate your honesty. I admit I may have crossed some lines. The debate regarding ownership is as always.........a debate. The standards here are of the best level and if I have disrespected that, it was never seriously intentional. I look forward to a time when I can continue to contribute and not alienate any person, this site and the enjoyment of our passion. Regards BCW
  5. No worries .....you have a really nice scope, but a $15 airbrush from most bulk hardware stores will make a huge difference that any aerosols when it comes to painting it. Good luck
  6. Brass is metal, metal needs an etch primer or at least 'a' primer that sticks to metal to provide a base for the black coat. Stay away from any type of paint that is enamel based.....they are cheap, soft, take forever to cure/harden and will basically always remain soft....they true cure point is trapped evaporation. Some of the modeling paints are good because they are evaporation paints based on meth/lacquer thinners.....which are fast evaporators. Go to an auto parts store and get acrylic lacquer based etch/primer and black....they dry fast, stick to almost everything and are fine based particles. For the size of the work and the detail, but a cheap airbrush, spray cans are too blast radius heavy Good luck
  7. Poor old Vern......lost in a gravy of righteous.... This is by far my favorite comment.....from Sith Lord...after all the HATING.... "On a side note, I'd be interested to know how you got a real sterling into Australia" Because I have a weapons collector license. Supply and demand....
  8. This is how it works.....Supply and demand. Now I know you all are very passionate about the 501st and your hobby/special interest, but at the end of the day, people buy what they want to buy. Does Doopydoos own the license to sell what they do??...No.....but that's okay??...No it's not....so we should shut down Doopy Doos and all suppliers right? Of course not. You are all hating me because I'm crossed some honorably line that exists mostly in your 501st world. Supply and demand.....remember that. The issue here is recasting...you all seem to agree it's okay to cast off a weapon to make a movie prop...so doesn't the owner of that weapon have the original rights to stop the casting??......If Disney owned the rights to the Sterling Machine Gun, do you not agree DoopyDoos would get a cease and decease letter??....of course they would. At the end of the day, I am in the business of supply and demand. It's funny how not one of you has mentioned all the parts that I have hand crafted and created myself....too hard for you to focus when you're on your high horse preaching to basically no one who really cares...except the zealots. I cast my own parts based on my own molds.....based on supply and demand. At the end of the day, I provide a product and service, I have NEVER ripped anyone off and every person who has paid me is happy. Check my ebay, check my RPF.....cry all you like and be anal about the 501st......if you're that unhappy call Disney and report Doopydoos AND me. Best Regards BCW
  9. Really...then prove it!. I've been asked to prove MY parts are originals...but no one ever can contact DoopyDoos and get any kind of response TO prove they own any original molds. You accuse me of recasting...but you can not offer up any evidence to disprove that Doopy Doos is in fact a recaster.... DoopyDoos is a "very serious actor"...really??...WOW, that's how you defend the original recaster??....well then, case closed... Show me ONE thread of evidence that DoopyDoos is not a recaster and I will PROVE to you emphatically that I have ALL the original silicone molds. You are on a very slippery slope my friend.... ......you seem to claim you know the recaster DoopyDoos.....I doubt you know 'them' at all.
  10. Defence of the allegations??.... ....sounds like I'm on trial here......should I get a lawyer???...where's Lionel Hutz when you need him Do you know what's ironic???...DoopyDoos is a recaster... ...always has been always will be...funny how all the elitist BS of the 501st never addresses that simple fact?? The defence rests...you honor....
  11. Thanks Vern Beezer and thanks TK 2392....sorry...not sure how to address you as it's seems you're not sure who you want to be??? Your continuing interest and support is helpful driving interest and sales.... Thanks again BCW
  12. Thanks Vern Beezer for you detailed response. Your knowledge and attention to detail is greatly appreciated. Interest and sales have increased...thx again
  13. Very small margins on their products make them the cheapest available, so they have a usual high demand...but that means their customer service sucks. It shouldn't be like that but it is. Also they don't ship on payment every time...sometimes, and this is a big no-no in this special interest/hobby, they wait to get enough money to buy more resin then cast and then ship. You shouldn't sell something you don't have, but they do it. I got many products from them over the years and they have always arrived, but sometimes it has taken a concernedly long time. They're very cheap for what they are....so if we want to deal with them, we have to suck it up. In business....you can have any 2 of the 3 but very rare will you get all 3. 1. Quality 2. Service 3. Price Doopydoos is a 1 and 3 Star Wars Stormtrooper Blaster - Replica Movie Prop - Limited Run http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=247660
  14. Agreed. Their margins are super small, but if you look at their entire operation, the numbers get better, but it's still not something I'd ever do.
  15. They have the market because of their pricing.....no on sells a decent kit for anything close to that....suck it up and buy it.....or not. I sell my own kit for twice the price. I've done the math and DD makes stuff all money on their kits....be thankful
