Great to hear, once again good luck with the build

Really up to you how you want to build, stick to the CRL to gain basic approval then once approved emulate a screen version, it's a bit like adding EIB and Centurion details to a base build For me some of the screen accuracy I would like in my kit but how often and hard I troop it is really not feasible for me to do so. Good luck with what you decide, hopefully it won't be too long until you have those ID numbers

Great news, looking forward to the progress and pictures, have you thought of building to EIB or Centurion level? much easier to do this from the start and very rewarding. Good luck

There isn't much to see inside a helmet, a few screws on the sides then it depends on what people use, there are so many options for padding. Jump on Google images and type 'inside stromtrooper helmet' it's amazing how many variations there are of what people use.

TK-14655 reporting for duty

Congratulations and welcome to the ranks, looking forward to your other applications -
Have made a few ;). I use 1 and 1/2 hats which fits quite nicely. Just a case of unpicking seams and sewing in a new section. I fit elastic from on side to the other, then in the middle of that another piece attaches and fits in the middle of the back. When you put it on the helmet the T shape of elastic holds it there quite well.

Great news congratulations trooper, looking forward to seeing your EIB and Centurion applications -
Only screen images are used as reference for the CRL's, toys and Sandtroopers don't count

Stephen's RS ANH stunt build WIP (for small people)

Great news, congratulations trooper -
Unfortunately that is just one of those things, most of what is required for costumes I can't find locally so I have to source it online but I don't ask for a change in the CRL because of it No doubt as Paul has mentioned someone will eventually come up with a conversion kit of cover strips for use on other armor.

Really you need to request an access upgrade here on the forums as an approved Stormtrooper first which you can do by posting the link to your 501st profile to here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16-501st-trooper-status-requests-include-link-to-your-501st-profile-in-your-request/?page=226&tab=comments#comment-582759 Normally ID's are issued quickly so although eager I would wait until you get those numbers

You need images of a Stormtrooper with one to allow it to be added, just because another costume has them doesn't mean a Stormtrooper does. With regards to the cover strips I must admit I've not really looked at the R1 TK's until this morning. My take is that the outside pieces have a raised section which fits over the inner side piece, a cover strip is attached on top (or both are already molded to it). The raised section overlaps but really the armor pieces go together as a butt join, they are not overlapped only the raised section overlaps. Having a look at Jim's kit it has the raised section on the outer piece that then overlaps in inner piece, which is the same as screen used. So really it's only the raised section that overlaps, not a tradition OT TK overlap. But if you used standard OT TK pieces they would butt join and a raised section be glued on top and then a smaller cover strip on top of that so there would be no overlap So to sum up the raised section overlaps but using other armor it would butt together. Screen used

High Resolution - Kashyyyk Stormtrooper Images (35 Images)

This was a thread from 2012 so I don't think you'll get an email. Photobucket changed their 3rd party hosting rules earlier this year, you will find a lot of older threads on most of the detachments are broken and without images now.- 17 replies

I would suggest having a look through the reference gallery, some great photos of screen used armor and bracket placement https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/category/7-general-stormtrooper-reference/
