  1. Really sorry to hear this, another prop maker who promises the world but doesn't deliver.
  2. For those with FISD affiliation pending have a read through the Detachment Affiliation section in October's Newsletter This will also be included in this months newsletter
  3. Normally TK goes on first letter from movie titles TK - ANH, TK - ESB and so on, so Solo would probably be TK - S There is weathering on helmet and chest so if it's dirty you know where it will end up There isn't a lot of differences in Lego Stormtroopers so I wouldn't be taking too many details from these, can't wait for some screen images.
  4. I used industrial enamel spray paints, worked well, used some humbrol for brass/copper highlighting and didn't react. Personally I prefer a satin black finish just gives a little more metal look IMO
  5. Nothing better than BBB's, haven't seen one of this being built for a while, looking forward to the progress

  7. Nice work, good luck on approval trooper. You may need to post some side photos of your blaster
  8. Hello and welcome aboard, I don't think you will find armor STL files, there is a TFA build thread here who may be able to help you https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/43458-accurate-3d-printed-first-order-stormtrooper/
  9. Hello and welcome aboard, have you signed up on any of your local garrison forums, you may find more members there with experience with RS deliveries, there website is here
  10. Two piece compression top and pants works well, very good for keeping cool at warm troops and the two piece allows toilet breaks in armor. I do have a second cotton set that I wear over the top for colder troops.
  11. If you look on the box the vendors name is there, just do a google search
  12. Nothing better than a BBB, hope you have done your research and aiming for Centurion straight off the bat, a little more work but a rewarding experience.
  13. Coming along nicely, tape works well as a cutting line. Just nip off the corners of the cover strips, will stop them digging in when moving
  14. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks
  15. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks
  16. As far as I have seen these are the only two designs

As more of us rocked up, we were told there was no need to hurry as they was a big line and it would be coming through slowly, so we took the opportunity to relax and catch up with each other as we got ready at a comfortable pace. At around 4:00, we took some group photos and headed out to the main lawn area. The lawn itself was surprisingly packed with barely any room to walk between the families who were set up for picnics. We stood in front of the shop they had - which was selling lightsaber-like items that may have been considered Imperial contraband. As people noticed us, it became more busy with younglings and their families coming up for photos, but it was a steady and comfortable crowd. Closer to 5:00, a group of us split off to patrol the zoo. We walked around the main lawn, into the African Savannah, through the Orangutans and back to the main lawn. It was a great walk, where we had a few good photos ourselves, and many families were pleased to have photos with us along the route. Our Sandtroopers surprised a fair few people. It was the first time a few of our group had been to the zoo, and they enjoyed the walk even though they only got to look at animals briefly. Our walk must have taken close to an hour. The other group got up to some good fun, walking through the crowd, riding on the carousel and holding the fort for us at the shop while we patrolled the rest of the zoo. As we reached the main lawn again, we saw Lord Vader had arrived and joined him for some photos before all heading back to the change room for a short break. When we headed back out, the main entertainment had begun and the attention on us slowed down. We took a walk on the path around the main lawn and had a few more photos with people, but it was much quieter, so we called it a day. Surprisingly, it was one of the few times we attended an event at the zoo, and it didn't rain. It was a good event, with a good crowd and good weather - a great note to end as our last troop of the year! REPORT BY: Luke
