141 Happy Zoo Year -
TROOP: Happy Zoo Year LOCATION: Peth Zoo ADDRESS: 20 Labouchere Rd, South Perth DATE: Sunday 31st December 2017 TIME: 3.30pm to 8.00pm LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Outdoors TROOPERS: TK85421 - Q - gmrhodes13 TK59226 - Jerry - jezzapm IG21897 - Johnathon - ImperialKanos BH79815 - Glenn - Fett79 DZ11880 - Patricia - RoyalRebel TD84000 - Kevin - DARTH TROOPER TB20074 - Wayne - Whereswa11y SL7642 - Mark - Kade TD71976 - Brad - Bradnewland SL51164 - Stuart - DV64 DZ4471 - Mark - stretch IC36267 - Luke - Gyurizon TI29129 - Le Ben - xDESTRONx (VISITING TROOPER) WRANGLERS: Liz (arriving later) Marie Anais Tex Em Skate GA: BJ REPORT:Most of us met in the car park around 3:00 and headed to the change room. As more of us rocked up, we were told there was no need to hurry as they was a big line and it would be coming through slowly, so we took the opportunity to relax and catch up with each other as we got ready at a comfortable pace. At around 4:00, we took some group photos and headed out to the main lawn area. The lawn itself was surprisingly packed with barely any room to walk between the families who were set up for picnics. We stood in front of the shop they had - which was selling lightsaber-like items that may have been considered Imperial contraband. As people noticed us, it became more busy with younglings and their families coming up for photos, but it was a steady and comfortable crowd. Closer to 5:00, a group of us split off to patrol the zoo. We walked around the main lawn, into the African Savannah, through the Orangutans and back to the main lawn. It was a great walk, where we had a few good photos ourselves, and many families were pleased to have photos with us along the route. Our Sandtroopers surprised a fair few people. It was the first time a few of our group had been to the zoo, and they enjoyed the walk even though they only got to look at animals briefly. Our walk must have taken close to an hour. The other group got up to some good fun, walking through the crowd, riding on the carousel and holding the fort for us at the shop while we patrolled the rest of the zoo. As we reached the main lawn again, we saw Lord Vader had arrived and joined him for some photos before all heading back to the change room for a short break. When we headed back out, the main entertainment had begun and the attention on us slowed down. We took a walk on the path around the main lawn and had a few more photos with people, but it was much quieter, so we called it a day. Surprisingly, it was one of the few times we attended an event at the zoo, and it didn't rain. It was a good event, with a good crowd and good weather - a great note to end as our last troop of the year! REPORT BY: Luke

It's your detachment, you decide what how arcuate you want a costume to be represented at which level, although the cod had been debated previously -
TK71428 Requesting TLJ EIB Status (BSP)
gmrhodes13 replied to TheMirroredUs's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
I fashioned mine from scratch with a piece of ABS a heat gun and then finishing with bog (auto filler), it took 3 versions as more images became available more details where added to each version, a lot of this was done by eye and measuring from a blown up image on computer and unfortunately I did not document it. Perhaps armor makers could supply a more accurate TLJ cod now we know it is different to the TFA version. -

Nice work, you may need to swap out your cod, correct TLJ style is required for L2 -
Use a third party host to link images to your posts, I also use Imgur without any issues so far.

Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks -
I use a dremel for pretty much all of my trimming except for the teeth, as stated before I drill in the corners of the teeth and finish off with files, much more control than using a dremel.

Merry Christmas to you all and have a safe and prosperous New Year

DSG TROOP REPORT EVENT: Department of Child Protection Christmas Party LOCATION: Keith Maine Reserve, Whiteman Park DATE: 20th December 2017 TIME: 1:15pm - 4:00pm LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Outdoors, Sunny with a comfortable breeze. TROOPERS: TK85421 - gmrhodes13 - Glen SL51164 - Stuart - DV64 TK59226 - Jerry - jezzapm IC36367 - Luke - Gyurizon DZ11880 - Patricia - RoyalRebel Rebel Legion Rey - Bree Jedi - Tex WRANGLERS: Marie, Liz REPORT: 'We came, we had 3 photos, we left' - A Stormtrooper We rocked up early around 1:15, met up and headed to the changeroom and chatted about our imperial and rebel exploits since we last saw each other at the premiere - trying to avoid spoilers for Jerry and Marie, who hadn't seen the movie yet. Looking out the windows, it was pretty quiet, there wasn't many children in attendance yet, but around 2:00 we headed out. Initially we had a few photos with younglings and their master, but it quickly quietened down - so two jedi, a jawa and a crewmember took a ride on 'grass-train', which caught the attention of everybody and made many more smiles all around. Shortly after, Lord Vader emerged from his change-room, after initially holding back to avoid the heat. He expected a lot more attention than us, but he too only received an initial spur, and was then left in peace... we should know peace is a jedi trait... I'm not sure he liked that. A fire truck then rolled up and gathered the attention of the small crowd, so we took the opportunity to take a short break. Before the firetruck left, we came back out for a few photos with Firemen and their truck. It was still very quiet, but gave us lots of opportunity to chat and mess around - I confiscated lightsabers from jedi a few times, but it seems they got the better of me with my blaster. Near the end, a lovely young girl came up and talked to us, and asked us all our names and how we were one at a time. We were then called to the steps of the main building to have some final photos and were offered some pizza afterward which we gladly accepted. We then headed off for some cool beverages to celebrate a quiet, yet enjoyable troop. CHARITY: As of yet, an unknown sum to be donated to Guide Dogs WA HAPPY PEOPLE: Everyone UNHAPPY PEOPLE: Opposite of Everyone MISSION STATUS: Complete REPORT BY: Luke M - IC36367 -
