  1. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper, don't forget to request an access upgrade here
  2. Just because I’m a GML I have never taken offence of any request for photos of a costume I have submitted for higher levels, in fact in IOC I had to supply extra research because of the accuracy I had shown, after all it is the detachments that look after those levels. We we are all human and some things can be missed in base approvals and costumes can be scrutinised more in the detachment which looks after that costume. I don’t think anyone was questioning your build
  3. Photo check lists had been started some time ago (I know I designed some) but unfortunately due to lack of interest they went no further.
  4. You could reach out to our detachment leader Paul @Daetrin and ask his thoughts, he ultimately is the one who looks after any new TK CRL's You will also need to supply full screen references of the costume, top to bottom, front, back and sides.
  5. Looks better, some examples of different gaps When in doubt always head to the gallery sections
  6. Does look a little high, more of a sandy look. You can compare with some of the screen images in the gallery
  7. Nice work over all, a couple fitting tweaks you could address to top off the build. Helmet seems to be sitting quite high could you reduce the padding? Paint at top of vocoder looks to have gone a little too far. In some of your photos the belt belts don’t appear to line up with the end of the belt, you could add a dab of E6000 to the straps to hold them in position. Thighs could come up a little, there’s a large gap around them. Belt in back photo not sitting straight. Good luck with approval.
  8. The loop is handy to attach elastic too which then gets snapped to the inside of the shins, this helps to keep the shin down and straight, but something you may add. I would however ask for a photo of the other side of the boots, some sellers have boots with a stepped seam on the inner sides which they purposely don’t show, this may not be the case in this instance but doesn’t hurt to check Good luck and looking forward to the progress.
  9. Coming along nicely, keep up the great work
  10. Nice work, just a couple of things I would watch the positions and gaps of your armor, biceps aren't matching, very little gap on your right arm, knee armor not central, also your right arm shoulder bell could come further forward, helps when moving your arms around if the front straps are a little shorter
  11. I think you will find that more makers are coming out with ab sections in pieces and our DO's would like to see that these joins are seamless, basic approval is looked after by GML's not FISD DO's. I also had to show my neck seal
  12. Hello and welcome aboard, a big project, looking forward to seeing the progress. Make sure you are making to suit the base requirements from the CRL (costume reference library) you can find ANH Stormtrooper here
  13. You have you’re work in front of you but it’s worth a try. The hardest is going to be the helmet, quite a difference much like what happened with the OTTK in Rebels. Good luck, looking forward to the progress
  14. For the strapping? If so there are a couple of different types but I prefer the heavy duty woven, is a bit stronger and seems to last longer.
  15. Commander Duck, love it, you know that's gonna stick
  16. Have you reached out to your local garrison? many have armor build days and may be able to help, you can find a list of garrison's here
  17. Congratulations, don't forget to request an access upgrade here
  18. I use wired, Aker amp and Icomm for static burst, had to change the battery in the Icomm once, now use an external for ease of charging. I have gone through 3 mic’s in 6 years, just constant rubbing and bending of the wire caused breaks. We also use amp jacks on most of our weapons which run to the amp, this is another cable which runs from the blaster up the arm up to the amp, i’ve Gone through two of these cables as well due to breaks. I have heard some guys have tried wireless with mixed results, personally it’s really not that hard using a wired setup, it’s like things what ever you are comfortable using
  19. When someone produces an even more cartooned Donald Duck inspired helmet
  20. CRL's are based on images and to date there is no full image of the character so I doubt a decision will be made.
  21. Most upload their photos to an online host then copy the link directly into their posts, allows greater size and amount of photos
