I've seen a similar method using fiberglass resin and T-shirt material, it's a neater way than using fiberglass matting. Problem I find with a lot of super / instant glues is that they are not very strong, adding the T-shirt material may help. There are other two pack glues which some of us use on our FOTK's, I use JB weld and some others use Devcon, there are of course others out there. The thing I like with JB weld is it's sandable and very strong when dry. At the end of the day it's what ever works for you.

Preventing Ab and kidney overlap
gmrhodes13 replied to TrickyT81's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I am quite skinny also and found adding some foam behind the ab plate really helped, especially when tightening the belt, you also don't want the belt too tight, I would add some foam behind the top of your ab plate to hold it forward, you may also need some on the bottom of the ab. Belt is also a little high on your back. -
Congratulations Trooper

Where to buy Centurion-Approved E-11 Blasters

I've seen a few threads and a few people have purchased in the past but nothing recent, a few search results here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/search/?q=quest designs&quick=1 https://www.questdesigncanada.com/collections/frontpage/products/star-wars-stormtrooper-e-11-blaster-prop-replica-stormtrooper-v3 The counter is a little low and should be moved up for centurion, comparison image below -

You can find a few 3D printed weapons but be very careful what you buy, there are a lot of low end versions with lots of print lines on Esty You can find some nice 3D printed ones here Hellhounds were supply rubber versions but I believe has gone quite due to some personal issues, you could contact via Facebook Field Marshal was producing all metal kits, higher on price but very accurate. Ebay store https://www.ebay.com/usr/vmusicstore Some other info in this thread -
Many of us use elastic to join the forearms to biceps as it is screen accurate. A small amount of padding inside the forearms can help stop any rotation and floppying. You also want to remove any return edge

Can be, I found with the brackets it limits movement as well as you can get cracking between the screws. I added adjuster clips to the chest area so I could get it sitting just right

There are also other types of products available, we have one here called Goo Gone, removes sticky residue, labels and also works on print from PVC pipe. I did try a little solvent once but it melted the pipe a little. With sanding any paint you want to be careful not to scratch the area too much, it's hard work but using fine sandpaper is best, here is a general guide to polishing paint, you can also find a lot of videos on the subject on youtube. https://www.wikihow.com/Wet-Sand-a-Car -
Everything is looking good. Not sure why it's not coming up in new posts, perhaps because it is your own post, it's coming up when I check all activity

Once approved you can request higher access here On your forum you should be issued higher access too which should allow you to see member only sections and trooping/event info. You can also sign up on the legion forums, lots to read there, merch does come up from time to time to, although levels have dramatically dropped since LFL restrictions. https://www.501st.com/forum/index.php Troopers Survival Guide is also a good read https://databank.501st.com/databank/TrooperSurvivalGuide Then GET OUT AND TROOP, well when you can do it safely Read up on the EIB and Centurion requirements and have a think about aiming for those levels of clearance. Most importantly have fun, try not to be pulled into legion politics, a downhill slide that can be HAVE FUN and MAKE PEOPLE SMILE, not hard to do. -

Diana's RS Props Build- ANH Stunt
gmrhodes13 replied to AsBlondeAsLuke's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
We have had a few troopers locally with RS and a lot of cracking, very thin plastic so it will happen over time. I know of another recent case of someone with RS purchasing replacement parts and them being very different in color. Recently I colored some U trim to match RS armor as the shade of white this particular set of armor was very cream compared to a lot of other makes. It was a case of eye matching and mixing the paint until I found the right shade then it was applying the paint, of course you also have to check the color when it dries as it can change a bit. To me the only option would be to either paint or try to find replacement parts from another armor maker, but again this would be difficult as the color variance can happen with other armor makers too. -
