Dead Post Links & Broken Photos, How You Can Help
gmrhodes13 replied to Sly11's topic in Forum Help & Support
Has been archived as Crooknight is no longer selling backpacks -
Currently the Expert Infantry page isn't functional and this has been a long time issue, that needs addressing before we look at something similar for Centurions. Stay tuned

CountCunning's ROTK Build Thread (Jimmiroquai Kit)
gmrhodes13 replied to CountCunning's topic in Rogue One Build Threads
Auto filler/bondo should be fine, just don't be too rough when sanding/filing. Also make sure you rough the area with some coarse sandpaper to give it something to grip too -
Auto bondo/filler will crack if there is any flex, many of us used JB weld or Devcon to glue these pieces together. The joy with JB weld is it won't crack and can be sanded so you can pretty much fill any gap. I did however finish with a coat of bondo/filler and it's held up fine.

Another fix was undertaken last night (my time), no doubt there are still some glitches which will hopefully be resolved over the next few days. Not sure about tapatalk as I don't use it At least it loads correctly now, was useless yesterday -

ANH/S, ANH/H, ESB - can they share common parts?
gmrhodes13 replied to CallMeMrTibbles's topic in Expert Infantry Program
Hey loose an N, we were poor and couldn't afford the extra N, it's Glen There's no crown, no extra money in your pay packet, only thing you get is a change of color on your EI badge, no glory or celebration, I just like building and as accurately as I can, over at IOC I broke their award system, I have 34 L2 and 9 L3 approvals, had to help come up with some new graphics for awards as nobody ever reached those heights, it was called the "Glen Effect" . History lesson: I wasn't the first to 7 EIB approvals, that would have been Todd "Toddo" TK 6647, he reached that goal before we had FOTK costumes, he also had a Skytrooper which is now homed at Spec Ops. Incidentally Todd only has 1 Centurion approved costume, so I was the first to 7 centurion approved costumes, again no fanfare or glory only self satisfaction. I think Richard means FISD costumes I retired a few costumes a few months ago to recoup some credits, I have 4 reserved BUT I recently was approved in a couple of others so back up to 25, I know I have a problem, the suitcase wall just keeps getting bigger, one day they will find me under an avalanche of suitcases -

How's your mobility / flexibility?

Strapping should be on the top inner side, this stops any length/movement issues, many add them to the wrong side, even some armor suppliers -

How's your mobility / flexibility?
gmrhodes13 replied to TheBlooperTrooper's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I think you will find a lot of the Stormtroopers found the suits uncomfortable and couldn't get full movement and they had people to help them dress, they had minimal gaps and would hit in a lot of places, you can see this by the amount of cracks that appeared in the armor during filming. You will find your arms can hit the chest no matter where the biceps sit, but you are wearing an outer plastic suit, not a dinner suit Personally I'd try to bring the biceps up a little and see how it feels, you shouldn't need to trim anything off them. Look how far up the biceps are here -

Looks like you have a little room to bring the biceps up, you could then have a bigger gap between them and your forearms -

I'm 5' 11" and must be one of the lucky ones, I can put everything on without issue and with ease, can dress is 5 minutes, didn't need mobility cuts either, and although I don't sit in chairs I do sit on their arms or corner of a table. All comes done to your height, weight and armor. If you are tall you really shouldn't have mobility cuts as it does leave a lot of black showing in the rear. -
In the past I've used toy guns and taken the electronics out, very small circuit boards, add a high bright LED so it fills the barrel with light and also add small disk flat batteries to save on space, they do last quite a long time. This one.also had a vibration motor, can feel it through the gun. This is an old build so I used AAA batteries. I also tried a few MP3 boards which are quite small, just a case of adding a switch and LED. I also add a speaker jack so I cam run a cable to the Aker amp. If you are interested the build is a basic scratch build https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/118-blastech-dlt-19/page
