  1. Well if you work out posting photos you could post some in the pre approval forum for feedback https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/193-request-tk-pre-approval/

  3. My pleasure You can also download the full TK chatter file, it's a little more work as the owner uploaded to Youtube so you have to copy the link into a free online audio converter. Most of his files are on his personal site BUT the TK/TB loop is too big so he's uploaded the audio to Youtube, to save this use a free online audio converter, just copy the Youtube link into the converter and let it go to work. NOTE: a lot of the online audio converters will open other pages when you click on boxes, just close these, your audio file should still download First post on legion forum: https://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=28538 Youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I_N94dX97U&t=257s Youtube audio convertor: https://ytmp3.cc/en25/
  4. Slow and steady, just minor adjustments at a time If you are aiming for higher levels you can compare with this ATA EIB review as the ear thickness was mentioned Also adding a step to the top portion of the ear will allow the ear to sit flush, this thread I mentioned earlier has a step by step method Looking forward to seeing your progress, good luck

  7. I doubt a hair dryer will give you enough heat, you could try a hot water bath
  8. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the EI ranks

  11. Normally this is a automatic process which is preformed just before elections Here's a thread on the issue
  12. Here are a few links which may be of help
  13. Really any piece, the first is always the hardest. Been so long ago I forgot what I first started with, I think it may have been the detonator (yes it was just checked ) References for the detonator Here are a few links which may be of help Some great helmet references on Star Wars Helmets http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-ANH-Stunt-Stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm And of course our Gallery Section, full of references https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/category/24-anh-tk-reference/ Golden rules: Measure twice and cut once If you know ask, there are no silly questions, only silly mistakes Good luck
  14. Very much so, twice if not 3 times as thick, varies in places. I use a fiberglass filler as it is stronger than bondo, then go over the fiberglass filler with a thin layer of bondo as it gives a smoother finish. Fixing ABS is easier as you don't need to fill and paint (although you can add some ABS paste into cracks, sand, compound and polish, but most don't) Normally gluing a pieces of ABS behind is all you need, although you can still get cracks a little further from the original crack so adding a long piece of ABS behind is better

  16. Amazing how time flies when you are having fun
  17. I have one of Jim's Sith troopers, now I have more than a few medical issues and I find it quite heavy compared to my ABS costumes. Other issues with the flexible fiberglass is it can crack in places which are under any strain, or as I found round pieces can go oval when stored, I think this was a curing issue and was fixed by strapping round again and storing for some time. Now in saying all of that I know of other troopers who don't have issue with the weight and although have suffered a few cracks they have fixed with a fiberglass auto filler and touched up the paint. Hey we get cracks in any armor, ABS, 3D print and fiberglass. ABS suppliers KB props, also 850 armor works, and recently Walt's (WTF) all on Facebook, now those kits are pretty new and I've heard a few issues with the helmet pieces aligning but no real feedback on the armor, there are a couple of builds currently on the forum which you may want to take a look at. No matter which kit they all need some filling and painting unlike an OTTK. There is another option of 3D printed we have one on the forum BUT I've not compared the details or if it would pass 501st approval, it's the same with most files, until you see them in hand you really don't know. Definitely go through some of the builds, you will find most have the armor make in the titles. Good luck with the research.
  18. Thank again Chemi I had thought of getting some stars made to go on top of the EIB/Centurion pins, but I'm liking the idea of a personal patch, not sure if I could fit 10 helmets on it though
  19. Nothing better than BBB photos, well there is but I'll not go there Don't forget the golden rule, measure twice and cut once and in doubt ask or check our gallery sections Good luck and looking forward to seeing your build progress
