  1. could you just run a bead of some heavier glue (E6000, ABS Glue, etc.) along the seam from the backside? Maybe use some painters tape or something to keep it from running onto the outside?
  2. My best memory has to be from one of my intial test fittings (blue painters tape and all). My wife and I were taking TONS of photos, so I could keep track of everything. I looked back thru the photos and found one of that had the ab, chest, shoulder bells and arms all taped onto me. I had a HUGE grin on my face, and it was from that moment on that I knew that this was the thing for me.
  3. Sorry to hear about your loss
  4. A note went out to the MEPD Facebook group, I think the site is undergoing an overhaul and upgrade.
  5. I haven't really been checking here very often, but a friend of mine showed me this site and I wanted to see what everyone here thought about it. http://hundredpushups.com/
  6. I've always loved the look of those suits. It would be fun to do something like that, why should Clones get all the great paint jobs?
  7. I was playing the game again tonight (360 version) and I noticed that a regular TK only had 1 drop box on his belt. It's possible that if they scanned/photographed/imaged/whatever a suit of armor from the LFL archives that 1 drop box may have fallen off over time. Another reason could be it's a limitation of the animation model that the other drop box was not able to be added in. Or it could have just been a mistake in the model that no one caught. I need to look at the other TK and TK styled troopers in the game to see if it's the same for all. Sadly, I don't really have a good setup for taking screen caps.
  8. As I posted in the other thread, I'm about 6'-2". I don't know for certain what my exact weight is since I don't own a scale. But, I would guess I'm easily in the 220-230 range. I'm not really looking to lose a certain amount of weight or have any set weight goal. I'm looking for just an overall toning and fitness improvement. An inch off my waist would be spectacular Photos from last weekend's troop (I'm the TK obviously )
  9. Now that you mention this is a scam, it reminded me of something I've heard about this happening on sites like Facebook.
  10. Looked back at the other screen caps posted on here. I hadn't noticed it only having 1 drop box. I wonder why they didn't include one on the right side as well? The Tube stripes look pretty normal to me.
  11. I think a Trooper fit club idea is great. I know something was started on the Legion boards, but I haven't seen an update in a really long time. I know I could definitely lose a few pounds. I'm about 6'2" and I'm probably hovering around 220, haven't weighed myself in a long time, so it could even be worse than that. I'm looking at more film accurate armor for my next kit, and I really don't want to have a "Fat Trooper in little armor" look.
  12. Will the prices be comparable to the other sets that have been put up for sale? I eventually need to get a new set of handplates, I've recently realized the dinner plates that I have strapped to my hands... errr.. my FX hand plates are a little too big
  13. QFT! I hope this little bugger doesn't stop you from continuing to run your great operation, TK 4510.
  14. I think it's a pretty safe bet that this will be identical to the MRCE, especially if the MSRP is only $199.99. Probably will still have all the mold lines, and be a simple repaint from the previous MRCE. These aren't bad helmets, they come mostly ready to go out of the box and give you lots of customizing options. I'd rather go with one of the fan-made kits though.
  15. I think the NZ troopers need to contact her, great publicity. I think the weather in NZ would be ideal right now. It's early fall moving towards winter down there right?
  16. I tuck mine in, because it's neater that way. The first undershirt I had, didn't have a logo on the back, however my new shirt has one and I still need to black it out. I'm just lazy.
  17. I'm just a decent blaster away from applying for EIB. Hoping to have that resolved later this year. I want to go TD as well, but I currently have no plans for Deployed status. I'm just not a big fan of the backpack.
  18. I use the Hovi speakers and they are loud enough for me most of the time. I didn't do the chest speaker for several reasons, 1. I like it all to be contained inside my helmet, no dangling wires, 2. I sweat a lot in my armor, so I'd be afraid of that causing problems.
  19. The front section should not require any trimming.
  20. Can't wait to see what you can do with it. Why do I forsee a TX wearing a Vader lid in our near future?
  21. I try to keep my personal belongings to a minimum. Normally, I would give most of my things to our handler (usually my wife), and depending on the event, I will have a similar hanging wallet setup around my neck and my armor tub is lockable. At a recent con, I had my phone on my belt, very non-canon. Unless LG and Verizon supplied the Empire with comlinks I also have my Thermal Det tube modified so I can keep my glasses in there.
  22. I'd say it's a little heavy for a standard TK or HWT. We can see in the movies and the sources that the TKs are not pristine white, they have scuffs, scratches, etc. Like others have said that as long as it's cosmetic only and not actually cut/burned/whatever, that you are okey, based on what Thomas said. I would make sure you are in talks with your local garrison.
  23. Looks great, now you just need to get a grappling hook to replace your Thermal Det.
