Best to get a friend, loved one, significant other, garrison mate, random stranger, hitchhiker, etc. to come over and help with the helmet. I can't imagine doing an FX helmet by yourself. It's awkward to say the least.

Well, I signed up to the forums and got cleared and everything. Turns out the producer is on these boards as well.-------------- I bought a set of the flat green ones for my FX and they are great. Can't see in, but I can see out just fine. I'll contact him to see about MRCE lenses.

There is someone who has posted on here I believe with pictures of an authentic ROTJ suit. It was only missing a few pieces.

I didn't do suspenders. I just have short strips of elastic connecting all the torso pieces. The chest and ab have snaps so I can take them apart and adjust them.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, and about the change of heart. It does feel like it's time to get out and spread some good in the world. What good is everything we do if we can't share it with everyone else?

You can never have enough wranglers/handlers/spotters/photographers at an event. If you're looking for things to do until you get your armor. Just take a look around on here. Work on a belt, pick up a MRCE bucket and start modding it, find an E-11 to work on, get your boots (nothing like rockin' the white disco boots when you are not wearing your armor)...

That's what I had to end up doing. Although you might want to place a shim inside the tube because I had a problem of the filler falling thru the gap and not always staying in place.

Rex looks great. I'm sure you'll be able to do an incredible TK.

Were those pulled from the Tour suits and the SE reshoot suits? I saw some of the Disney TKs up close last year at Disneyland after CIV. Although I didn't know as much about TKs as I do now. The 501st suits look better IMO, the Disney suits look a little thin and flimsy.

I believe that is the diameter. It's pretty much standard sizing that will work.

1/8" try to get the ones with the white tops so that you wont have to paint them.

I feel your pain. I've been working on my TD Tube now for like 3 weeks now. I think I've put more thought and effort into this little tube than I did on almost any other part of the armor. My problem is a gap between the two halves that is less than 1/8". This teeny tiny little gap has driven me crazy. I think I finally have gotten mine to look decent, not good, but decent. What problems are you having with yours? I think an alternative is to find a standard PVC pipe that will fit into the endcaps and simply use that.

I know I picked ANH style for mine simply because that movie has the most reference shots available and the most close ups in the movie.

Sounds really familiar. My wife was in the same situation last year. She unfortunately became expendable in the company's eyes.

I picked up a MRCE Helmet and I've started tweaking it. I'm still deciding on how far I want to go with it. The others on here have set the bar very high. I'm thinking I might want to try a Hero style on it. Anyone know of good supplier for the bubble lenses to fit?

If you see any of the OT movies in single packages (not a box set that is) they contain as a "bonus feature" the theatrical version of the movies. It's not as good a transfer as the regular DVD, although you don't have to deal with Crazy Uncle George's digital changes and re-edits. And people may complain about it being non-anamorphic, 2.1 sound, etc. but it is still better color timed than the "Special Editions". Has anyone watched the horribleness that is now the Battle of Endor space battle. The colors are awful and all over the place. Echo Base on Hoth is Blue! I swear there is a scene in ANH that has gone black and white. Back on topic, I still have some of my original VHS tapes, however I didn't get widescreen until the SE tapes.

That really sucks. You should try to stay positive about it, just think of all the time you will have to work on armor.

I contacted RT about pricing and info, be patient he will get back to you. Like it's said above he might take some time to get back to you. He does travel a lot for his job. Pricing was pretty reasonable too.
