  1. What a great man, and a great life he lived. I was only 1 years old when we landed on the Moon. So I've heard and read about him most of my natural life. He was a real hero IMO.
  2. You'd think they would have made it a bit smaller in size by now.
  3. Not very accurate and the pic of the troopers says volumes...blek.
  4. Box party!
  5. I'm a bald guy too but do not wear a balaclava for my TK. I use a motorcycle head covering, or "dew rag". That takes care of the sweat and does not interfere with my neck seal. I do wear a balaclava for my Biker Scout and my Tie Pilot and they are pretty good for those costumes.
  6. Very cool!
  7. I agree with you all the way. I'm part of several detachments and love the FISD. Troopers helping troopers, even upcoming recruits...all the way Vern!
  8. Congrats trooper!
  9. Congrats Ingrid, very sharp!
  10. Hey Jesse. I sent a ChipIn and hope it helps with your dog's surgery. You have been a real help to me here at the FISD. Anyway, just a small token but sure hope things get better. Hang in there and God bless!
  11. For me, it will always be the ANH Stormtrooper from 1977. From the moment I saw them walk through the door with Vader on the Tantive IV, I was hooked. Yeah, they modified the look in ESB and ROTJ, but for me it's always going to be this guy. My 2 cents...
  12. Very cool Steve. I finally made it to DFW, maybe I can see this in person.
  13. Looks really nice.
  14. Just watch out for HOT temps. It can cause this glue to come apart.
  15. Wow Danny, I had no idea you were hurt. I'm so sorry man but glad you are back on your feet. I'm a Harley guy myself but have much respect for you and your rides. Take it easy and get some rest. Very glad you are okay my friend...!

    Acting

All good points and posts. I love being a character and the costume just enhances that part of me. When the helmet is off, I'm Jim, but when I'm in costume, it's TK-8455 (or whatever costume I have on). I don't act silly, just sort of "play the part" as much as possible. I think we all have used the word "citizen" from time-to-time and that plays into the role. The biggest question I am asked is "where did you get that costume"? My response is always, "Lord Vader and/or the Empire". If the helmet is off, then I get more personal and talk to folks that are interested in the Legion, armor, and/or costuming in general.
  18. I did the same to my Hyperfirm and it turned out great.
  19. You might hit up Sonnenschein for a D-ring. Great deals -- > http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showuser=3770
  20. Hey man, I'm not an ICN expert but I would say "yes". It makes the most sense to me. Hope you get some more feedback though...
  21. It's all good man. You will get and take many, many more photos. Just keep an eye on what you like, and don't like and that will help you make adjustments along the way. Nice job overall.
  22. Awesome newsletter! Thanks once again for an awesome monthly FISD publication. Top notch and very well done!
