    My 2 cents: 1. Hyperfirm E-11: awesome detail and lightweight, like a work of art; can be tweaked for even more detail (d-ring, cables, etc). 2. Doopy's: great details, a little heavier, and can be tweaked for your level of detail (paint, weathering, etc). 3. Hasbro/Doopy's Conversion: good started blaster, smaller in size; fun to build and can be fine-tuned with more details.

    I agree with my fellow Shadow Trooper guys (Toddo and EB), black armor is cool. Don't get me wrong. I love my white armor TK and this is one of my faves, but you get totally different looks in black. And yes, I've been called Darth Vader and a Tie Pilot too.

    Yeah, I'll glue the parts, use clamps and check back in 24 hrs. This always works well for me. IMO, 12 hrs is not enough time to fully cure.

    In the Spec Ops side, the Force Unleased Stormooper has LED lights. But that's in the Expanded Universe world. ----------

    Those are interesting alternatives, but may be a bit pricey. I've found that eastbay.com has great deals on upper and lower wear and they have 2-for-1s all the time. You can't go wrong with them...

    I used window screen mesh from Lowes...black and looks good with no peek-a-boo going on.

    Yeah...FX, and the "501st approved" comments always crack me up. As stated above, it comes down to the setup, fit, and wearer for approval.

    Warning: It's addictive! I've got a Doopy/Hasbro conversion, a Doopy's full resin and a Hyperfirm from Sci-Fire. I'm now working to obtain a Sterling and convert it.
