  1. I have seen one up close and it was rather nice. Pretty unbeatable for the price and durability.
  2. Welcome to the FISD! I'm very close to your size at 6"2 and 165lbs and do the ANH Stormtrooper. I sport the AP armor with an MTK helmet from Mike at Trooperbay. The ATA and AM armor are not a bad choice, but you have options.
  3. Ugly, but was a real helmet/mask from that time. I remember seeing it as a kid in the 70-s and drooling over it.
  4. Welcome to the FISD! Most of the troopers here are ready, willing, and able to help. Just read through some of the links provided above and reach out to ask questions. We're all friendly here and will help you get going.
  5. Agree with Karin, recast AM.
  6. Very cool, thanks for sharing!
  7. That's one fine looking BFG!
  8. As always...nice work on another awesome newsletter!
  9. Great work, looks awesome!
  10. I have the 10W Aker + iComm setup from TK-6294 (Jim S). It's awesome. I paired it up with a small MP3 player and play the 501st TK loop through the amp along with the static burst for my voice. Well worth the investment.
  11. Looks really good so far, nice work!
  12. I have a Cushman, but the pull was terrible. I put a lot of work into it and made it better but would not refer anyone to them. My Sci-fire DLT from Lewis is a work of art. Get one, you won't be sorry.
  13. I'm 6"2, 165lbs and wear AP armor. It works very well for me. -----------
  14. Agreed...off-white for ANH style.
  15. Just stumbled into the post. Great topic and really interested in how this turns out. You do such fine work Karin!
  16. The TR, Royal Guard from ROTJ might be an inexpensive one as well. All depends on the materials and the helmet used. Plus, it looks pretty cool.
  17. Looks really awesome and makes me want to go pick one up...!
  18. Congrats and thanks for posting away...!
  19. Nice, but a recast no doubt.
  20. Looks like you are off to a great head start.
  21. Off to a great start! Best of luck on your build.
  22. Hey there fellow Texan! Sounds like you have all the parts and pieces. Let us all know if you need any help or guidance along the way.
  23. Well done!
  24. Well, we know the Biker Scouts wore them and I suspect some TK troopers did too. As stated above, probably to hide long hair. --------
