  1. Glad you are back!
  2. It might be worth your time looking into, but seems very odd to me. Maybe you'll get lucky, and it will at least be something decent. Best of luck there.
  3. Yep. I got my decals from there as well. Very nice. I got my ESB holster (that I still haven't used yet lol.) from Darman, here on the boards.
  4. Sadly, many of us have been lured in by the 'Bay, when other options were clearly better. I don't know much about the SpecOps, but hopefully, he can make the best of his investment, maybe with a Nova Trooper or something.
  5. Ah, I can see the real picture now. I thought for a moment, if you press your thumb on it, you might see an Autobot or a Decepticon symbol appear.
  6. It's good to see there are other short stormtroopers out there in the galaxy besides me.
  7. Looks awesome. Of course I definitely wouldn't put that in my bucket in Florida. lol.
  8. I've seen some big fellow fit into ATA with a bit of shimming ingenuity. Basically, if you cut your cover strips a bit wider, you should be fine.
  9. Several armor makers in the "The different kinds of armor... thread" make them, but you usually just have to ask if they have any available.
  10. Wow. Thats interesting. I knew they had to make new back packs, but had no idea the entire suits were newly created. It seems like that thay would have attempted to make them look more like the original ANH suits; without belt boxes & what not.
  11. Yes, the real bridges were plastic as far as I know. Wasn't there a tour suit (or some kind of similar mock-up) have flexible bridges like that? Maybe that's what they are. I didn't know what year this was from, but hey, the ROTJ suits were pulled out of crates in 96 or 97 to be dirtied up as SE TDs, so these could have been just as easily spit shined.
  12. I remember that. I thought it was basically a waste then too. Maybe it's kinda cool if you are really a hard-core carbon fiber enthusiast.
  13. They look like the movie suits to me. I've never seen this game before. I think this gives me a reason to track it down now. Nice find.
  14. Take care, Karin. You and your family will be in our prayers.
  15. I love those old commercials! I never would have guessed they used actual film props in them.
  16. Interesting to read all these facts (that I probably should know by now) and learn all the small differences and origins. I've only experienced 3 suits in person FX, ATA, and CFO, so I can't really give any better opinion about RS or AP than what's been discussed already. All I can throw in is I agree having a suit that fits you is really the key thing to look for. I think as far as total complete accuracy, if you have a squad of troopers wearing RS, AP, ATA, TM, and FX standing together...the FX one will be the only one that sticks out without close inspection. From what I've read about RS, I'd probably choose it, between the two, if money was no object, but that's just me.
  17. Wow. Either this guy wants to get booted out (if he hasn't been already) or it's someone impersonating a 501st member to sell armor. Sad either way. Do people not realize we look at eBay too?
  18. Yeah, about 10 min or so for me. Depends how motivated I am & if I have a bit of help standing around.
  19. When I joined, it seemed most of the iconic 4-digit combinations I was fond of were taken, so I just shot for something I could remember. lol.
  20. Thats basically how I pack my armor, except it all goes in one bin. It always reminds me of packing a drum set. lol.
  21. ^ Best logic yet!
