  1. That material seems pretty hard to find here in the US. You can probably get a belt from Sskunky if he has any still.
  2. 1. When you're dressed up for a movie midnight release, I assume everyone want pics with you, but you still sit there in your armor the whole length of the movie? Doesn't the edges on the butt plate 'dig in' after awhile, or do you take it off? I've only wore soft costumes to movie releases just for those reasons. If I was in armor, I'd probably change before I sat through the film. 2. When at a mall or store event, where do you suit up, bathroom etc.? (since at a con its usually in back of the display, unseen) We don't always have the luxury of a dressing area, so a parking lot where there aren't a lot of people works fine. Of course it's preferable to prearrange an area with the POC who requested the event. 3. What is THE most common question you get asked? Depends on who's around: Kids- "are you a real person?" Fans- "How much does that cost & where can I get one?" Elderly folks- "Isn't it hot in there?" 4. Most embarrassing moment My (TB) blaster falling out of my boot holster at Disney's Star Wars Weekends.
  3. Perhaps trim a tiny bit more around the bottom.
  4. For the first two original films, we know the boots looked pretty much the same: black jodhpurs painted white with the soles left black. Totally Killer boots work wonderfully for those. For ROTJ, we can see in stills that most boots also looked like this, with the exception of the soles being white or off-white. OK, Paint the soles white & call it good, right? However there appears to be a few slight differences in some of the ROTJ boots that I cannot find any discussions on. The TKs in the deleted bunker scene look like they have very shiny/stretchy boots that almost look like they have white vinyl wrapped around them. Sounds odd, but hey, that's what they did for Biker Scouts. We also see some boots on Endor that look like the sole is either very off-white (or possibly very dirty) or tan in color. I tried to find some good screen caps, but couldn't find any. I've seen boots on the promo photo trooper that look like they possibly have a zipper on the inner side. Probably wasn't in the movie, but who knows? Has anyone went so far as to recreate any of these special "looks" on their boots? I used to think the old plastic/shiny pleather Caboots were absolutely terrible, but after re-watching ROTJ a few times in a row, I'm thinking they were a bit similar to their appearance.
  5. You could possibly do a shadow trooper (well maybe) and make interchangeable parts for the helmet (lenses, mic tips, white frown decal, painted brow) and possibly have an approved costume as well as a fun one for cons and stuff.
  6. Personally, I put nothing there. If people are getting that close to where they can actually see in my nose holes, then they are too close in my space. lol...
  7. The family that shakes together, stays together! lol...
  8. It might be worth your time looking into, but seems very odd to me. Maybe you'll get lucky, and it will at least be something decent. Best of luck there.
  9. Yep. I got my decals from there as well. Very nice. I got my ESB holster (that I still haven't used yet lol.) from Darman, here on the boards.
  10. Sadly, many of us have been lured in by the 'Bay, when other options were clearly better. I don't know much about the SpecOps, but hopefully, he can make the best of his investment, maybe with a Nova Trooper or something.
  11. Ah, I can see the real picture now. I thought for a moment, if you press your thumb on it, you might see an Autobot or a Decepticon symbol appear.
  12. It's good to see there are other short stormtroopers out there in the galaxy besides me.
  13. Looks awesome. Of course I definitely wouldn't put that in my bucket in Florida. lol.
  14. I've seen some big fellow fit into ATA with a bit of shimming ingenuity. Basically, if you cut your cover strips a bit wider, you should be fine.
  15. Several armor makers in the "The different kinds of armor... thread" make them, but you usually just have to ask if they have any available.
  16. Wow. Thats interesting. I knew they had to make new back packs, but had no idea the entire suits were newly created. It seems like that thay would have attempted to make them look more like the original ANH suits; without belt boxes & what not.
  17. Yes, the real bridges were plastic as far as I know. Wasn't there a tour suit (or some kind of similar mock-up) have flexible bridges like that? Maybe that's what they are. I didn't know what year this was from, but hey, the ROTJ suits were pulled out of crates in 96 or 97 to be dirtied up as SE TDs, so these could have been just as easily spit shined.
  18. I remember that. I thought it was basically a waste then too. Maybe it's kinda cool if you are really a hard-core carbon fiber enthusiast.
  19. They look like the movie suits to me. I've never seen this game before. I think this gives me a reason to track it down now. Nice find.
  20. Take care, Karin. You and your family will be in our prayers.
  21. I love those old commercials! I never would have guessed they used actual film props in them.
