  1. Yeah so.... oops. The "The various types of armor and where to find them" thread was temporarily misplaced but moved back to its original home today. Sorry for the confusion. -Eric
  2. No one has thrown the content from the old imperial reception center in the rubbish bin. We're just in transition, which is well documented in the staff area. There's been a call out to the IPM staff to come up with a list of the best boot whitening tutorials and sources for TK boots for the next newsletter. Chances are most of it will be based on Mark's excellent and still relevant tutorial. -Eric
  3. The whatpost? -Eric
  4. Mahalo to David for running and making it a race. I hope you stick around FISD after this election and hang out with us. I haven't been near a computer all day but I want to thank everyone for their support before too long. I'm super excited to get to work ASAP. 2013 is going to kick an impolite person for the bothers and sisters of the shiny white. Expect a more formal statement in the next day or so. Awesome! -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. While we allow for some amount of interpretation of the EIB standards when reviewing someone's application, the exact shade of ab button blue and gray is not specified in the CRL. Midnight vice French blue should not hold up acceptance. However as subjective as it seems we are looking at an EIB's fit. Minor tweaks to how armor hangs off an applicant are always subject to review. Of course I do think the right shades of paint should be used. There's little excuse not to do so given the availability of the proper paint. -Eric

  11. I went with the silicone adhesive not only because I knew it would bond to the silicone hand guards... but because it wouldn't seep too much through the glove. I was afraid of CA or E-6000 wicking through and glueing both sides of the glove together. At the time I didn't know what to stick inside the glove that wouldn't stick to either. Maybe wax paper? Although I rarely use them... they're still going strong on my nomex gloves to this day. -Eric
  12. Let him have it. It's not wise to upset a Swede. -Eric
  13. In case you haven't noticed before... there's a link at the top of the forum labeled "News" where, if you were so inclined, can read all past newsletters. -Eric
  14. In spite of me having nothing to say this month web-wise... it was another fine edition hot off the FISD presses. Congrats to Imperial Propaganda PR team for pulling it off once again. -Eric
  15. Wow. Neat and tidy work! -Eric
  16. Geez. Tony... I'm starting to get impatient for you ;D -Eric
  17. Enough with grump cat already. Please. Jenny... can I send our cheerleaders your email address? Best handlers ever... ----------- -Eric
  18. High tech boxer briefs or spandex type running shorts. Occasionally board shorts (it's what I'm wearing anyways) depending on the venue and who I'm changing in front of. -Eric
  19. Nice job making AP fit properly. This looks like an easy pass making #300. Someone wake the Swede! -Eric

  24. Okey... looks like he's having some classic RT-MOD fitting problems that everyone has. Obviously the chest needs to come down.... but more importantly the torso also needs to come up. I hate to say it... but his an impolite person is sagging. That's an indication that the whole torso (cod/ab and butt/kidney/back) sits too low. 90% of all RT builds come out this way. I actually had to eventually lengthen my shoulder elastic and do two things: 1) Shorten the heck out of my ab/chest elastic bring the back way the hell up. When the back comes up the rest of the torso will come with it. Try just shortening the chest/ab elastic first to see if the torso comes up before you do anything with the shoulder elastic. I am forever pulling my whole torso up to let my chest come down. Derrek is right about bringing the biceps down and connecting the forearms to the biceps. Because of his monkey arms you'll need to split the difference between bicep and forearm and hand and forearm to make much less black show. Take look at some screen caps and you'll see that most biceps were pretty low... but in Greg's case (and mine) the forearm also needs to slide toward the biceps a little. -Eric
