  1. 94/95? Man.. the forearms, Chest, Back, Ab, Kidney and Butt look like the ROTJ TE line up. It even has RODJ hands. The parts are matched, but that may be for its early stages. Might even be an Oakley, although I have never seen one. If that's a custom full on sculpt, that is a bad an impolite person one. Almost as accurate as a current suit more or less. TM mentioned the Don Post statue, and that may be. I have a bud with one, I am going to check it out. TM has a habit of being right. The Inner of all the arms look to be very basic. That is the main diff I see.
  2. Yep. ESB. The only way to troop...
  3. So is this a guessing game? Matched parts on the legs, correctly sized chest and back with a split butt plate. The forearms are matched and the insides sculpted. Same with the biceps. Matched with a sculpted inner. Looks to be styrene. Untrimmed... Early AP/GF. My .02
  4. Tastes Great! Less Filling! Yea. Trooper armor opinions vary. It really boils down to how good of a model builder you are. I thrashed a TE2 set cause I got impatient. I am dragging my feet on a TM set so I don't mess it up. Built 2 sets of FX in less time than my TM helmet. Really budget, skill and patience is the key to a great trooper. AP is a nice set, some day I want to but one together. Dig up Stukatroopers old build. TOP Notch. He explains the ups and downs of the AP. Take a look at his TM build as well. Welcome to trooping. Remember, Its your suit. What ever you buy, FX, AP, TM, TE2, TE derived... Just make it yours and troop the hell out of it. Make kids smile.
  5. Font, wording style and background all look like Sith Armor. Maybe he is revamping?
  6. Also to be noted is that Pugman's blaster is a promo... If I recall right, not seen on screen. Cool as all get out though. I have one!
  7. I asked for one on the RPF, but Ill add in here as well. I would love a signed copy. Thank you for allowing us to have a shot at one. Very very cool. You sculpted my hero...
  8. I am on the fence about listing makers. Starts flame wars, and well... That gets old. All the Vader stuff I have reviews on NoDisentagrations. Trust me, Mr Master Chief Helmet guy got a blister on eBay, doubly so for he refuses to answer my emails. yippie. For 61 bucks I guess I cant complain. Still stings, but Ill fix the turd. I see positive feedback, guys gushing about how great it is and all. Am I the lone whiner? This is as good as it gets? I own 6 Vader helmets. 3 unwearable. Now maybe I am a little harsh. Most of the Uber collections don't wear this stuff. I do. However, shipping and packing is just unacceptable. If you sell something, it SHOULD survive transit. At minimum. As far as in Stormtrooper stuff, so far outside of one helmet that was busted, (so was everyone else on that run) I have had a blast. Good comms, good stuff and such. Most of my Vader stuff is top notch. Just here as of late I seem to have landed on the back of the turnip truck in prop buying. Sucks.
  9. Here you go. My examples. I have had more, but this will do. Pics tell it best. If my thumb is in the shot, I am showing thickness. The newest let down. Resin helmet, bought on eBay. Casting marks. Yeesh. Plus a sweet mold line. Yea! <_< Thickness. High end Vader chest box. Less than 1/16" in places, don't ask the price. <_< Got this in trade, glad about that. Another Vader helmet. Resin mask. Thin. Yet another. Yep... that is daylight through the casting, its that thin. Busted during shipping and totaly crap paint. Yes, a real asset. Cant give it away. <_< Top notch guy too. <_< Some of these I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into. I know wonky, not perfect, all that. Really, this is a shout out to prop guys. Take time in the stuff you charge for. Would you want this stuff on your door step? What if you paid these prices for this stuff?
  10. The prop i just got would normally go for 180 to 200 bucks. Tops it cost him in resin maybe 40. I have been disappointed in vacced stuff as well, but not on this level. I am just sick of crappy parts from "good" sellers. <_< Go figure... quick to want money on eBay and slow to answer problems post sale. Pretty standard. Ill take some pics. I am sure you all will agree when I show you what I am talking about. Really, I agree with the thought" get what you pay for" as well. The closer I get to understanding the process of this stuff the less I am willing to accept.
  11. Yea... kinda in the realm of Fanmade. I do agree that most of the 1 to 1 licensed stuff needs help.
  12. I opened another disappointing box today. Chalk up another prop to the "major fixes before wearing" pile. *sigh* This was to be a gift. Turn around time of pretty quick to boot. Alas, between the post office and the poor packing its busted. Or so I thought. Looking at the casting, its just thin. Tell the truth, it just pushes me closer to loosing interest in the hobby. I am sick of poor casted stuff, thin casted stuff... over priced for the quality it shows up in. Either Vader or any other stuff I have bought as of late. Can I fix it? Yea... but not the point. Hell I might as well make this stuff myself as much as I have to fix. How much more would it cost to cast it thicker? Now that I am SO close to cranking on some stuff, I know the cost of resin, fiberglass and time in it. How hard is it to put out good stuff? Is it the drive for money? "They will never know" mentality? I want to know what you all think. Prop debacles lately for you all?
  13. God bless him. God bless you Joe. Soldiers Prayer
  14. TM to AP. Kinda like Apples to Oranges. Really, TM is very very different than any of the other armor in fandom. At least on the helmet, as I have had the AP next to the TM... I have never seen AP armor first hand. --------------
  15. Some things I see... Hope you are cool with some observations. First, man... Rivets kill a set of armor to me. Paint them white to match. It will look better. You are a small frame, so lots of trimming and fitting is needed. PITA, but well worth it. I think you could pull off a set like the one above. Granted, that is a drawing, the real world armor will fit a tad different, but you get the idea. Painting the TD is a big help, as the guys said above. Your chest and back armor could be a little more fitting to you as well. Forearms need sized to take away the bell shape. Because you are smaller, may want to shorten them a tad. For the thighs could trim them down from the top to be a little more comfy as they look as if they pinch. Where your knees bend is a trim point as well, those will kill you in about oh... 10 minutes. Troop on!
  16. Nope. Not a nut. I love this holiday. I think it has a great appeal to it. Mine started last Friday. Me and the squirts headed out to a walk. We have a busy day planned this Saturday as well. We got a lot of complements so we are out to do it again. ------------
  17. Much Love Brutha! Kids come first. If you need anything, let me know. You have done the Det proud bro!
  18. Lens Thread No gimmicks. Just lenses.
  19. Yep... If any one needs sets I have about ten cut out and ready to ship. Freebies. Hmm... Might have a giveaway in me again. Still... PM me addys. Stamps are cheap.
  20. PM me your addy. Ill toss a set in the mail for you.
  21. Gotta have THE TK vid. Ya know...
  22. On second thought... I wont say what I want to. Ill just move on. I said my part. Evo, fire away.
  23. Ep4... I find your lack of faith disturbing. Ep5... Laugh it up fuzz ball... Ep6... Short help is better than no help... Ep3... (Vader's Breathing) Ep1,2. Dont know. I have maybe watched them a few times. Not to impressed with them.
