  1. Ding Ding Ding Ding! Vader is so out of his normal self for that line. He whips his head around and just sounds like a punk there. Really the only time in the series out side of Nooooooooo.. in Ep 3. PM me your addy!
  2. Episode 4. Darth Vader (HInt) The only "unvader" line he ever says.
  3. Another out of the gate winner. WOW! PM me your addy! ( I dig on the lines that help with life in general. Yoda has a bunch of them...)
  4. WINNAH! PM me your addy. 3 sets of lenses to you. EP3... Yoda
  5. Out of the gate. WOW! Nailed it. PM me your address for the lenses. Man... must have been thinking the same thing. If you are a winner, please let others have a shot at it. Didnt add in that part. And Now.... Episode 2. C-3PO
  6. Thought I would do a new contest thread. Its been a while.. Yoda: Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed that is. I Like the movie line one that just happened a while back, so I am doing the same. 6 Movies 6 winners. Ill post the new movie as they are won. Ill limit your submissions to 2. I will pick the character and you shoot off the line. Lets start with Ep 1. Qui-gon Jin. Rouge Trooper! The ability to speak does not make you intelligent. Now get out of here. Ep 2. C-3PO For a mechanic, you seem to do an incessant amount of thinking. VT357 Ep 3. Yoda And GO!
  7. 89 has to be my fav. The new one is not bad, but 89 I think hit it on the head as far as real and comic inspired. You wear it well an your build is spot on.
  8. Buy some polishing compound and have at it. Just like waxing a car. There was a thread on here about it... It can be done. Just takes time. Great Screen Name. "Some say he has a digital Face"
  9. No matter what you believe, what faith you are, where you live... Hug your loved ones and pray or take a moment in silence that this never happens again. Hate, fear, war and violence I pray become a thing of the past. Hope, love and Faith... Please replace it. God bless those who gave them selves for others and God bless those that still do. Until the last soldier comes home. Support the troops. Right or wrong... With out them where would we be? Untill we dont need them anymore...
  10. 1500? Great budget. You are in the running for a great set. However. When you say "larger" what do you mean? Define "accurate" as you would like to have your armor? Man. TK armor is easy. Really. FX kits are basically like "Snap Tight" model kits of old. Easy. Really it is not all that hard. I cannot imagine that you are devoid of ANY skill. You will need some to keep the costume up as you wear it. I remember looking at my first FX and thinking whoa boy.. here we go. But its not hard man.. Just do it. Were here to help.
  11. got a box in route... Happy day man...
  12. Ya know... I would not change all that much. Be out of debt... and really enjoy life even the more just giving it to random folk handfuls at a time. Dont want a huge house, just a nice garage and a cool prop room. Dont really want a lot of cars, I would just change them all the time. I would have one toy project however. I would build a museum for the Star Wars franchise. I would have Sansweet run it and have troops available everyday. It would sprawl and cause I just bought the archives, it would be accessible. Kinda like MOM and private stuff collide. I would have all the licenses for the franchise and make the props dead on 1 to 1. Then, my gift to myself would be a Bugatti Varon, 1970 Hemi Barricuda (plum crazy pistol grip white ragtop) and for the family trips to the store the new Benz E class AMG.
  13. I dropped 6 pounds... Actually started in the gym!
  14. How would you snag one of those helmets? Man.. to get the pit lid would rock!
  15. 2006. Loving it still as much as I did back then. 7 sets of armor later... (FX twice, TM, TE2 Twice, and 3 ATA sets...) I am still building. Yeesh.
  16. Would love to eat a good 'ol beef steak with you again man! The TM armor while I love it... Started to show cracks and such after I started into building it. The helmet was hard to take on and off and I got a crack on the chin. I am not sure if it was the fact that I took so long to build it, the type of ABS it was... donno. I just cringed at the thought of messing it up. So... I got some styrene armor to troop in. Just as durable... ish.. and if I mess it up I can get new parts cheaper. It was a financial thought that made me retire it early. The Scout is coming along! WOW! I have not heard of the progress... dont do the BSN much anymore but man.. would love to see it! May swing in just to check it out. Ill have to get you a set of Vader Armor to you as well... I have been working on the slow road to Vader stuff as well.
  17. I start threads... Then loose the motivation to keep them up... Actually, I finished it... This suit is sitting in a box. It will adorn a mannequin. I am working on a set of ATA ESB. I guess Ill take a shot of that huh?
  18. My list is based on putting it on my head. I based my comps on ease of wear and overall size. The CAP was not bigger than the ATA. They are very close to the same size. I owned or own ones built by the makers themselves. Not looking for a war on this.. as this is could head the wrong direction for some will staunchly claim what they will on this particular two helmets. Build has things to do with it, but not that much unless you botch it. Not interested in a non objective fight on these two helmets. We are not talking about huge amounts of shrink or size for that matter. What stands out is TE2 and AP. TE2 is the largest TE line helmet I have owned by far. I hope to own a Gino soon and then I will know on that as well. The AP the smallest by far. Very hard to get my 7 1/4 head into. Everything else (save for the ANHV2) is about the same, only slight changes. There are pics that show huge differences, but I cry foul on some of them. Perspective is a subjective thing some times. I have held them and trooped in them. The TM is very large on the inside and a small opening. The undercut, (Chin) is deeper and I think looks great. This does hinder in and out a tad as you really have to turn the helmet sideways.
  19. Interesting that you say your TE is thin. When did you get it? That may be good info for others.
  20. From what I have owned... Largest to smallest. FX ANH V2 TE2 TM (not the same however, undercut far deeper, harder to get on) CAP/ ATA TE MRCE AP
  21. All black will be fine. Put a speaker in them and troop. If there static, all the better. Your fine man.
  22. I vote no. Reason is... Wearing it will weather it. That is what we see on caps. There will always be someone that will over do it and that is sandy land, not HWT. By keeping it clean, allowing it to weather on its own you match the look.
