  1. Proof that it's me painting.
  2. This mornings progress Helmet is starting to look like something familiar.
  3. Thanks guys! I got all kinds of rivets and do-dads set up for this. Split rivets, cap rivets, pop rivets, snaps, elastics, hooks etc... This will be 10x better than my first build. Last work of today. More tomorrow!
  4. Pretty much all trimming is done. Just need to paint helmet and glue parts. Some trimming needed on shins on thighs saved for adjustments once the fronts are glued. We're trying to build as quick as possible.
  5. My friend Donny is visiting me over the weekend and he brought his RS kit (PVC) for us to build. Great timing as my building fingers were itching. This is not a how-to. Just a bunch of progress pictures. I'll update as we go.
  6. I don't believe that it would be an early SDS for a second.
  7. That's entirely up to your personal preferences. As long as you do it properly they are both great systems. Though it should be noted that some aspects of the original strapping system is more suitable for more flexible armor like the 1.5 mm kits from TM and RS.
  8. I think you seem to have it under control. You'll have no problem getting that approved. Nice work trooper.
  9. It's just the kit form rather than the finished build. Probably using cheaper plastic too.
  10. I guess that's the problem. That there's no proof that the suit is in-house other than what Mr Muir says. Maybe that's why it's been dismissed. To me it's pretty clear though that AA is a disgruntled liar, and I'm not supporting him any more. I don't care a lot about the rest anymore. Too painful to read, learn and try to make sense of.
  11. Yes, the center picture here is of a prototype suit that was made in-house at the studio before SDS was contracted.
  12. The images on the website sort of looks like it's vac-formed. At least the dome part. But I haven't read about it or seen it myself so I don't know for sure.
  13. ------------
  14. It's for as long as you own that set of armour.
  15. True, but no one will take your EI away from you if you don't.
  16. The short story is that his claims are straight up lies.
  17. Yes you saved me a lot of trouble when I needed a counter bracket
  18. You don't have to troop with the hengstler. Just wear it for for your EI application.
  19. No, just a big fair for people who build crazy cool things in their home or garage. There´s lots on google to see.
  20. Good luck! I wish we had maker fairs in Sweden...
  21. Yes. But you want to either ask for the upgraded hovi's or get replacements later on if you want to go for EIB.
  22. I don't think you should worry too much. There's no requirement on the size of the tube of the TD. But the accurate size is 68 mm outer diameter. What I would do is move the clips so they sit touching the end caps.
  23. Yeah. Unless you get get a bigger tube, end caps and panel made for the bigger tube you're stuck.
  24. I think you're referring to the greblies present on some of the ESB blasters and also on the ROTJ blasters. They are not what we call the power cells.
