  1. As I said in your other EIB request, I think you meet EIB requirements now. Approved.
  2. Hi Nice fixes. I think it's safe to say that you meet the EIB requirements now. Approved!
  3. Hi Great pictures. I would only suggest cutting the sides of the knee plate so you get a vertical stop instead of the angle you have now. See picture below. That won't stop you though, just a nice touch you could add. Approved!
  4. "Lexan scissors" cuts through plastic like butter, and gives you great control in those curves. They're cheap too!
  5. All tutorials related to the MRCE helmet would also apply to the eFX. It's the same helmet, just made by another company.
  6. Knee pack placement: http://www.whitearmor.net/fisd/Tikipedia:ANH-Stunt:Knee-Pack:ReferenceGallery The outer edges of the drop boxes should not stick out more than the belt itself, and sit high enough to not have a gap in between their top and the bottom of the belt. So in your case, a little bit in, and a little bit up should do the trick.
  7. Congrats on the improvements from last time. Most of them are really good! I still have some issues with how your knee ammo looks and is attached. Your curve is way off and the rivet should be in the top corner not in the middle. I would also while at it, trim off the excess plastic around the top and bottom of the knee ammo belt. Also, have you got yourself a D-ring for your blaster? It's an EIB requirement, but must have been overlooked the last time. I also think you should raise the drop boxes a tad, and maybe put them in a little bit, just enough to not sit outside of where the belt ends. Raising the belt itself would also be a good idea. It's sitting too low, and should ideally overlap the button plate a little bit. You did good work on improving the helmet, so these few fixes should be easy for you. Good luck.
  8. It looks good, and I wish you luck! I do think however that in the end you'll end up spending more than what you would buying a kit. The cheapest kit on the market now is ATA which is priced far from the $1000 mark you feared.
  9. No worries. Granted, the MP5 is a great weapon, but it wasn't standard issue to brittish troops. So the stirling would go wherever they went. Not all guns need to be light or compact to be a good weapon. While I have never used either of them, I have used the Swedish AK-5 which weighs in at 9 lbs with ammo. Not light, not short, and it only had iron sights (it has been updated and modernized since) but it was still a great rifle. Good accuracy, insensitive to dirt, robust and very easy to clean. Service weapons are selected by other merits than what most normal people would look at.
  10. The Sterling has a great service record, like you can see shown above by Krazy Ivan.

That's true. I'll try to remember to remind him next time I see him around.

Well, if it's a medical issue, it's not much he can do. Real life issues always comes first you know.
  13. Higher voltage makes the fan spin faster, thus make more noise. You could wire up a variable resistor to control voltage, and thus speed and noise if you want.
  14. Yeah, we have one for sale when we do patch runs. Patches are limited to 501st members, so you'll need to finish up your armour and join the legion first, but here's what the flash looks like. -----------
  15. No official standard, but we've played around with it and said black is for legion member, blue for EIB and marron for Centurion awardees.
  16. Doopydoo blasters are made in Brittain. Or get a deac easily in the UK, which few US troopers are able to do. You could also get one of the pugman ESB blasters from RS (also brittish), which are cast from an original LFL E-11.
  17. Be careful not to cut yourself on those sharp details!
  18. Some video game renditions of what a stormtrooper ends up looking like are limitations of the hardware it's rendered on, and doesn't fully represent the intended design, although those are probably based on ROTJ anyway. I too remember reading somewhere that LFL is considering the ROTJ look to be the "correct" one. As for the latter question, regardarding the detachments - I have no idea. I'll have to leave that to Daetrin to answer.
  19. Pretty much every stormtrooper rendition post ROTJ theatre release has had tells similar to that specific look, very much like how most Boba Fett renditions are modeled on either ROTJ or ROTJ SE.
  20. Here's what they would look like if left outer met up with right outer, and left inner with right inner. Don't think it made much difference to the look, but it could also be my limited editing skills.
  21. I should clarify that I was talking about the video game armours, which we in the CRL have (more or less) defined as ROTJ armour with ANH helmets and paint jobs. What they look like in the comics I don't know or care much about.
  22. Most EU armour is based on ROTJ armour with an ANH helmet.
  23. You'll be just fine with either version. People have been trooping in ABS suits for a decade now. Also, for a display piece, ABS would be more accurate. There are several RS build threads on the forum. Have a look in this section: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showforum=80
  24. Assuming that by 8 mm they mean head size (I've been cheated on that before), then yes. Those would do great.
