  1. Not really. Try to find them on ebay instead. You'll need a few anyways. And what's left you can use to help nearby troopers finish/upgrade their suits.
  2. If you want accuracy you should use 8 mm cap rivets. Failing that, next best is 8 mm split rivets or other kind of solid head rivet. Failing that, pop rivets. Any solid head rivet is acceptable for centurion. For EIB anything mentioned goes.
  3. As bad as it sounds, I would try to sell it on ebay. You will probably take a loss, but you might be able to sell it to someone with lower ambitions than 501st.
  4. Or you can go the middle ground and use an airbrush to get the best of both worlds.
  5. Do nothing with the armour, and fight for a return to get the cash back. You may loose out on some of the shipping costs, but it's better than keeping the armour.
  6. Yeah, the TM should still fit you nicely. And apparently (something I learned today) TM has extra tall shins, so you could ask for those. That would help I think. But it'd be best to ask TM himself.
  7. Better to spend a little extra on something you won't be replacing anytime soon. Saves you money in the long run, and gives more satisfaction in knowing you have the good stuff.
  8. I have not heard of anyone having trouble with cracks around the bolts more than what's inherent in the design, nor have I heard of anyone re-enforcing it. Since the PVC is tougher than ABS I would not think it'd be necessary either.
  9. I think you're going to be very happy with a TM kit.
  10. Congratulations!
  11. Hi, and thanks for checking with us first. It'll save you a lot of trouble. You're looking for this list: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538&st=0 Good luck!
  12. I like the left ear, but the right (as you're looking at it) ear could use some trimming imho. But you're close! This is just my personal opinion of course. You should do as you feel is right.
  13. Stay away! It's not even the same armour on the 3 different pictures, it's 3 different armours.
  14. Might be in one of the albums here? http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10786
  15. Yeah the brow trim is correct. It's fan made helmets that for a long time have been using too small trim, and made us used to the look.
  16. I like those brown shoes you have there in the background Stephen!
  17. Hi there! Glad you found this helpful. That's the idea. Either RS or TM can make you a ready to wear suit. For a Hero suit you'll need TM's hero helmet. Both of them should have no trouble shipping your suit to the states. With either of them you can go centurion pretty much out of the box. And the cost would be about the same as SDS As for the boots, TKboots are well worth the wait, but you could also get some black chelsea boots and paint them white. However, that might be better for display than trooping.
  18. Hurray! Best forum on the web. Period.
  19. 0-shaped ring is the accurate one. Yes, it looks like your shims will do just fine. You will however need to replace the snap in the cod with a single split rivet (not painted). The other rivets should ideally be painted.
  20. Shims are fine, but do try to make it look as nice as possible. For the knee ammo pack you should really use cap rivets, because neither split rivets or brads are accurate. But at least make sure they are not pop rivets with holes in the middle of them. A solid head is required. As for your missing D-ring, this is an oversight on my part, it's actually required for EIB, so make sure that you fix that ASAP. You also have to have rubber or latex handguards glued to rubber gloves.
  21. Awesome! Now tell you Swiss TK friends to also go Centurion.
