  1. Edited 18th August 2013: This project thread is now 33 pages long so here are some quick links to the end results... A 39 page downloadable pdf containing most of the project research and conclusions: A 21 page downloadable pdf of my finished E11 Replicas (with five different Power Cylinders variations): (Full acknowledgements of everyone who has contributed to the project are on the final "Credits, Thanks & Links" pages of both pdfs.) Sales thread for screen-accurate & authentically made metal Power Cylinders Sales thread for screen-accurate resin Power Cylinders Cheers, Andy ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ive posted this on the RPF but, having just read the awesome "The Best Sterling Templates EVER!" thread I thought it was worth posting here too: Every set of repro blaster cylinders I've seen has 2 central "fuses" but I think maybe there were actually 3 on the screen-used E11s. This photo of a 6-rack of the E11-used "mystery valves" on a mouse droid clearly shows 3 central fuses. I doubt the Bapty dressers would have taken the time to remove the 3rd one & I can't think of a reason why they would need to. I imagine someone has suggested this idea before & it has been disproved with material evidence but, to my knowledge, there isn't a clear enough photo of the original blasters to be sure. Has anyone any thoughts before I start making cylinder units with 3 fuses for my Sterling build and scratch builds? Thanks, Andy
  2. Hi, after completing my TM ANH Stormtrooper I am now into building up my first e-11 blaster to give those rebel scum the blast they are looking for I will keep this thread as a WIP thread and if something new happens on the front I will let you know. First I sum up the items that already belong to my staff and those I am still trying to acquire or are in transit. 1. M19 resin scope from Jesse (still trying to get my hands on a real M19 or M38A2) 2. T-track from John 3. Deactivated Sterling L2A3 MK4 4. Power cylinders (unsure to build up my own, buying from doopydoos or searching for another dealer) 5. Hengstler counter (just did a lucky and awesome find on eBay) Let the pictures flow M19 resin Hengstler with metal connection box I acquired the one with the H 809 yesterday on an eBay auction after given the deal I recognized that the person who sold it were sitting in a city 8 kilometer away from my hometown so I could pay him of in person and guess what happend next? Â he asked if I have use for some more so now I own 4 metal connection box Hengstler with 3 different logos That's it for now... Stay tuned...
  3. Hey everyone While I'm waiting for my AP kit to ship in I had this Hasbro E11 lying around with the Doopydoo parts, so I figured why not. And if I completely fail at it I'll just troop with my SE-14r. First cracks. I used a power drill and a X-acto knife. More work on the railing which I thought was a huge pain! First failure is the scope eyepiece that I destroyed when trying to remove it. I looked for tape rolls but they all seem to be too narrow here. The solution for this problem will have to wait. Finished all the carvings, except that I'm not gonna drill extra holes. The LED is pulled back inside the barrel if you're wondering. Pics about the gluing process to come soon! Feedback is greatly appreciated
  4. Hi guys, I just bought a great M38 off Marv but it has no mounting screws. Does anyone have any spares to sell or know of a source of compatible screws that look like exactly like the originals? I'm in the UK and the 3/16" screws I've tried almost fit but all except one have a different thread. I'd appreciate any help people can offer. Thanks very much, Andy
