  1. Mike, I would check out the EIB requests thread and look at the applicants' armor. I would shorten up your drop box straps with white. Your right thigh looks like it is a little lower than your left, but that could be the way you're standing. Instead of Velcro, I would suggest using black elastic belting from Jo-Anns or Michael's and snaps. Velcro does work, but wears out fast. Just my opinion. Where's your bucket???
  2. I have the Hyperdyne upgrade almost installed. I have taken many pics and will post the How To when completed.
  3. Eric, I have the guts from a Hasbro that I am installing the Hyperdyne upgrade into...it's yours if you want it. Just pay shipping.
  4. Well, I'm not sure what year the one E-11 is, I bought it on Amazon months ago. I have another that purchased from Wal-Mart this year and the counter fits quite nicely. So, I'm going to tear apart the Wally World one and transfer the Hyperdyne guts into it. I'll take pics as I go, but I won't post them until I am finished. I'll post the HOW-TO in the appropriate sub-forum.
  5. Ok, folks. It's been awhile since I've been on these boards. Work and life seem to get in the way. Here is where I'll post my Hasbro E-11 Modifications. Doopydoos skin MKII and Hyperdyne electronics. First, I have a question... Has anyone had trouble fitting the resin counter to the gun? It seems my resin counter is a bit small to fit over the Hasbro's "counter". Maybe some dremeling is required? Pictures coming soon.
  6. MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm....TKBoots.......(Homer Drool)
  7. I have two sets of Karin's hand guards. One on a pair of rubber gloves for the cannon look, the other on a pair of Nomex flight gloves for comfort. Gloves on last and tuck in the "gauntlet".
  8. The next thing you would love is a Hyperdyne upgrade kit.
  9. To Matt You will join us...or die! Honestly Matt, the 501st Legion is an awesome group of people. I am VERY happy I joined and have met some amazing people. I will have friends for life thanks to the 501st! Give us a chance, you will NOT be disappointed!
  10. For future reference: Take ALL submission photos outside in daylight. It is much easier for your GML to see everything needed.
  11. Might I add to use the "Elastic Belting" from Jo Ann's or similar store. The regular elastic doesn't hold up as well. Other than that, they look great!
  12. Yep, that's normal. The only helmet that I have tried on, (I've tried ATA, RT, AP, and MRCE) that I didn't have to "screw on", was the MRCE. Just shorten the screws and you should be good.
  13. Actually, Eric, I wouldn't worry about hot glueing it. I have the RT also and my welding shield is cut as yours is. I found that the helmet lens tends to get scratched and scuffed up every 4 or 5 troops or so. I just swap out for a new lens. Hot glue may be a pain to remove depending on how much you use to secure it. Just my $.02
  14. Ahhhhh the smell of shiny white plastic,,,SNIFFFFFFF!! Congrats on your armor!! Now, take your time and hurry up and get that thing built!! We're all here for ya rooting you on! REALLY...TAKE YOUR TIME!...and DO use the finishing strips. Just makes your armor POP IMHO.
  15. The only thing I would suggest is to trim the leather sticking out the top of your canvass belt from the holster... Other than that, NICE JOB!! That must have taken some time to trim the AM kit down to fit you!! Bravo!
  16. I have them, they are on the legion boards somewhere...found them...but they are for Legion use ONLY!
  17. From Jim, My advice, wait a few weeks. Rumors are there is a new static burst system coming out designed to work with the powered amps like the aker amps and will be more affordable. See what that system looks like and then make a decision. Great news! I'm turning my wife into a Kashyyyk Trooper and an affordable voice comm is what we need for her. I have the ROM/FX and love it. I'm actually just getting around to installing the extra 3 buttons whcih will be installed in my ABS belt using some different switches than the ones it comes with. I'll start a new thread when I get the switches with a lil tutorial.
  18. I would also sand down the edge of your chest armor a bit. It looks a bit rough...IMHO.
