  1. I used a 1/16" drill bit to drill through the end cap. Then I used 2 pliers and bent the D-ring so I could slide it into the hole I drilled. Then, bend back with the pair of pliers. DONE
  2. If Lord Vader knew how I acted in my Imperial issue uniform, he would Force choke me for sure. It depends on the event how this TK acts. If it's a high profile event, I'm your average Yes, Sir. No, Sir. But....if it's anything other than high profile...all bets are off. If it's a parade, I make sure to find some kids in the crowd and go off the parade route. Walk into the seated and standing spectators and throw some high fives, pat a kid on the head. If their holding sabers, hand them my E-11 and take thier saber and do a quick pose. Sometimes if thier a little older I'll go to shake their hand and when they grab my hand, I'll grab their hand and drag them with me for a few steps. The parents love that one. For other events, I try to make the little ones not scared of me. Maybe play a little peek-a-boo, or hide behind something. If I have my trading cards with me, sometimes handing them one breaks the ice. I hate scaring little ones. And of course, sometimes I have to shake things up a little bit by fighting a certain hockey teams mascot... I had to tackle this Rebel scum so my Imperial Crewman could win the barrel race. Ultimately, This next photo is what it's all about.
  3. Here's my two cents... I would tighten up the strapping between your butt and kidney plate. Shorten up your drop boxes like previously mentioned. Your left bicep is a little twisted. Possibly shorten the strapping for the right thigh, maybe the left also. Maybe shorten up the strapping between the cod and butt plate. Looks like the butt "tab" is flaring out a bit.
  4. I use this: ---------- Nothing more...Spray on paper towel, wipe on...let dry...buff out with dry papertowel....DONE!
  5. My 2 cents? Go with ATA. I have RT full kit and really want to get the more screen acurate lid. I just don't like the flat frown of the RT...there...I'm all out of cents!
  6. Thanks Jenny! I have RT-MOD myself. If anyone in Bloodfin needs any advice or help, I'm right here! Tell them to use the finishing strips and not just overlap the seams...it will look SO MUCH better! They might have to email Rob, (RT-MOD), about getting the strips but Rob will send some. My next "minion" is about 5'4". This will be a more challenging build.
  7. Here are the pics for "Moke". A couple more added details and he will be requesting Centurion status.
  8. Fellow trooper to the south... GREAT JOB!!! Should be an easy pass!
  9. Fellow AttachƃĀ©s, In this thread I will be posting the progress of the future TKs of the Wisconsin Garrison. These won't be full armor builds but rather a few images of current and future members' progress to achieving Centurion costume status. Currently, I have 2 sets of ATA armor in my basement in different stages of completion. Cadet "moke" is waiting for his belt from TKittle. He should have that later this week. Then we can concentrate on assembling the torso. Finishing the helmet will be next, then to finish the minor trimming of each piece of armor. The second set belongs to "EnemyZero". He has multiple costumes and has wanted to get moke finished first. He is also in the assembly stage, just not as far as moke. The next time I have the fellas over to work, I'll take some photos and post 'em here. I am also in progess on getting my RT-MOD armor up to Centurion. I think all that I have to do now is get a new helmet and paint the details. I have already changed the side rivets from regular pop rivets to the vintage brass split rivets, Added the brass split rivet to my cod, added the 2 snaps to my butt plate, removed the Velcro from my shoulder bridges for 1/4" white elastic to keep them down, and changed my shoulder strapping from black to white elastic. I'll post pictures of that as well. AFTER my two friends get approved, of course.
  10. Understood Travis, But I stand by my thought. I almost bought the Rubies as well before I even knew of the Legion. Even chose the Rubies Vader...sent it back when the undersuit was way too tight on me. Now, glad I sent it back. I'm sure there's someone out there who will buy it for a Halloween costume. His father and he can almost get 2 sets of ATA with the sale of the Rubies. Here's to finding accurate armor!
  11. My thoughts would be to sell the Rubies armor (I'm assuming here), and build yourself an AM kit. Maybe an ATA helmet or even AP...or....TM (drool) As always, post with any questions. We are here to help you on your journey and point you in the right direction.
  12. SSC is Darth Stone from the Sith Lords Detachment
  13. Steve, Pick this up at JoAnn Fabrics It will come in handy!! I think I use a 1/8" drill for snap plates...or get a revolving punch pliers from Home Depot Store SKU # 126985
  14. You better hurry to get a Hyperfirm...Lewis has trashed his molds for his E-11 and DLT-19. Go here for the couple that are still available... http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=18491
  15. Just for reference... Here is a pic of an AP helmet with the bump "removed". ----------
  16. There are a couple of HF mods threads on this page... http://www.whitearmor.net/fisd/Tutorials-E11replica
  17. You said "rebellion"......I just puked in my mouth a little....
  18. Corey, It looks like you're missing the strapping that goes from the chest to the back. I just use velcro with a 1" piece of "elastic belting" from JoAnn Fabrics. Works great to keep your top half closed nice and snug. I would also shorten up the white straps for the drop boxes a little. Other than that, it looks like a real nice build!
  19. For a larger trooper, your armor looks freakin' Sweet! Very nice job!
  20. I built one like this...not as sweet as Erv's, but the kids love it!
