  1. Try to get some goo gone between the pipe and cap with an eyedropper. Use a small amount and give it a little time, I had to remove one and thats how I did it. Worked like a charm!Make sure you clean the parts after doing this, Im not a fan of leaving the goo gone on any armor parts.
  2. Looks great! I have the same kit and just finished it up, Tray offers up some goodness with this one. The cd was great, I used a heat gun on my left shin to get it to fit a little better, be careful though. I will try to get some pics up, I went ANH stunt with mine. Glad to see a Midsouth brother, hope we can troop together soon!!!! J
  3. Thank you very much for doing this. You guys rule with all of the awesome help!!!!! Jay
  4. I was just wondering, and if I have missed this somewhere please refresh. On with the question, is there a set measurement from the edges for the snap on the right of the ab plate? And the same for the butt plate snaps and split rivet in the crotch? Ive got the snaps and rivet just want to place them correctly. Thanks again for the help.
  5. Barry I have the same kit, forearms have just about killed me!!!!! I sometimes think why did I go with strips? Then I look at them and realize they look great! Keep on trucking brother, just know there is another future trooper about 2 hrs away in the same pain. It will all be well worth it in the end as I curse the evil strips!
  6. Here is a post light buff pic in good light at the lab. Looks great, nice and bright just like the face. Thanks again everyone for your help.J
  7. Thanks all of you for your advice and help. The answer was right in front of me being a dental lab guy!!!!! Buff it lightly and bring the shine back.....duh.....I use this type of material every stinking day. I feel like an idiot, the other guy I work with noticed the slight dullness of the hood apposed to the face and after a deep thought session went try light buffing. Problem solved, back to making teeth!!!! Everyone have a great day and thanks again. Jay
  8. Sorry about the confussion, Im a newbie on this, everything is great and I hope I can polish this up and its all good. I love the kit very well laid out and instructions are clear and make it easy to work on, novus polish is on the way. Thanks again for offering this. Do you have any suggestions? J
  9. The kit is a FAC, from the run Trey was offering. Everything is fantastic otherwise. I stayed clear of ebay after reading the horror stories on here. I would rather to not have to paint if at all possible. Im going to contact the maker and see if I can trade it for a new one, hopefully all will go well with that.
  10. My kit just arrived and I am super stoked about getting started but I noticed the helmet was made out of two different plastics. So I was wondering if this will polish to match using the novus polish or if I should ask for a new bucket? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Jay
