  1. Just got mine today and heading out in a few hours for the release! Wanting to set up my mic/icomm/speaker before I head out though.
  2. Ya I get all the physical set up, just wondering how to get the sound out of it. Right now it just sounds like a speaker if you know what I mean, not static like the troopers had from ANH.
  3. I bought one a while back while getting some other things from there site and I'm not sure how to set it up. Really hope I didn't make a mistake buying it.
  4. Just doing some snap plates to finish off my build right now but it's taking forever as I don't have all that many clamps. I know the trooperbay videos suggest zap-a-gap, but I wasn't able to find it anywhere where I live. Would something like gorilla glue/crazy glue work?
  5. Should I glue on the cover strips first before trimming it down or after?
  6. I'll edit this with more info as I go. Of note the TK kit I ordered was a fully tripped kit from AP. So first questions first: I started cutting up some cover strips lately and have noticed that my shin's are quite lined up. Is this a problem or something I can hide while applying the cover strips? Image here: http://imgur.com/a/fB4X6 The bottom two are from the back and you can see how much the one is below the other if I line up the top front properly.
  7. Thanks man, really appreciate it!
  8. So I've just started my AP build and noticed that the plastic I have to use as cover strips is much too wide. Probably around 4-5cm. Just wondering what the appropriate size of them should be and how I am suppose to cut these things? All the build threads I seem to be looking at either don't have this problem or skip this step.
  9. Thanks so much for the help again eh. I'm keeping both of them on my short list right now. Seems that they both don't have their full builds in right now. Dday said he should be up around october when he has more pipes in and I have no idea for Doopys. The only other option currently would be to get their pipeless build and go from there. I'm going to do some looking around to see if anyone sells pre drilled pipes as I don't have the tools to do it myself.
  10. Ah that makes a lot of sense. I know in Canada fake guns for the most part have to be sold with a orange tip on them, not sure how much that relates to props/replicas though. Hmm found this one today on etsy. https://www.etsy.com/listing/124842364/star-wars-stormtrooper-e-11-blaster-prop Looks pretty good at first glance, the trigger would have to be replaced. Am a fan of light/sound already in there.
  11. Ya I'm just wondering with all these people recommending DD's why no one has one for sale or pre-assembles them. Seems odd to me.
  12. It's looking more and more like this is the option I'll be going Oh well, how hard can it be, right?
  13. Ya I sent him a message on here and on fb and just waiting to hear back. If I read his post right and it's 195 Euros for a blaster than that is defiantly out of my price range. It will end up being $350(CDN) by the time it's delivered and that's just way more than I want to spend on this blaster. Kind of kicking myself that I didn't start buying up my kit last year when out dollar was on par with the US.
  14. Ya I have checked them out a bit. They're a solid rubber cast right? My only problem with that is that I'd like to modify my E-11 with light/sound and I don't think that will be possible with a hyperfirm. At least I haven't seen anyone posting about it yet. Not to mention they are a little costly compared to the other options I've been seeing. Sadly I have to be taking into account how poor the CDN$ is right now which leaves a lot of internation/US options looking not so great.
