  1. So, not exact and far from perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how the shoulder straps turned out. It took *a lot* of trial and error and a couple of re-glues, but here they are. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

  2. I'm all over this. Great solution, thank you. And good call Caleb. I happen to have some left over black ABS from my Tie Pilot build last year.

  4. Hey guys! I’m working on my first build and had a quick question about technique for one thing. I’m in the process of trimming the helmet eyes and teeth and I think I have most of it done but I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for the last 4th tooth on each side. The really tiny one that you’re supposed to trim haha. Any tips will help!

  5. Got the scope sorted. It's funny to me that I couldn't see that. I only own like five E-11s.

  6. Not quite, the ends are on the wrong way to the main body, you had the body the correct way to start with, was just the ends which needed swapping Actually while you are there you may just want to check for any print lines, I noticed the endcap has quite a few, I'm sure the DO's will comment on it L2: 3D printed blasters can not contain visible print lines and must be sanded smooth for a more realistic appearance.

  7. Yeah. Now to decide. I'm back and forth between a TK and a muddy. Ultimately if it's a TK I will convert to a sandy at some point if I don't build to those crls to start. I know there will be shimming for a TK, I just don't want it to look off (did I say that already? I don't know).

  8. I'm redoing the thighs right now since they are much too large around the knee opening. I'm also still working on the burned bicep, but here is what I have so far... Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

  9. You can even have the white elastic a little further back so more shoulder strap is covered, this is good for when you stretch, may pop out just having the elastic on the one tab.

  10. Nice to see you back with another version TK Todd. You may want to double check that scope assembly

  11. In the end of the day, I may go with Walts. Good stuff, i have other kits from him. I like to sort of stick with one maker. I know it will be a little work shimming but its not bad for basic approval. My R1TK I did I made the shims seamless. Just a little elbow grease.

  12. Super excited for these to start coming through as well. Part of me wishes I still kept my order in, but then again I’d have not been a 501st member for 6-7 years longer. Can’t wait for more FOs to be hanging around!

  13. Yep, I reverted back to the same as that. I liked the bracket idea, but it just didn't sit down nicely in my helmet. It's a lot lighter this way. Live & learn.

  17. This needed to be preserved for posterity. @Doggydoc and less notably... it was a long 6 weeks between troops.

  20. For a standard OT trooper I wouldn’t recommend painting it. And especially not with small hobby paints! If your suit is a bit dull there’s various ways to polish it back up. Either basic car compound like meguires or you can splash out for Novos plastic polish. Personally I don’t bother as the originals where pretty grotty so I like the dull look and marks you pick up when trooping.
