  1. It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon here in sunny southern California and what a better way to celebrate than by trying it all on for the first time. I'll be taking actual pre-approval photos next week when I have time to properly align everything and do it right. Until then, here's a quick preview of what you all have helped me with so far... 2. Paint and decals happened over the weekend. Assembled and installed the hovi mic tips over the last few days and I just finished installing the lenses and frown mesh. All I have left is to get my thighs strapped to a belt and I'll be ready to try it all on for the first time. Phew. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks Joseph. I haven't glued anything down and just used the supplied screws. That should be an easy fix.
  4. Ok, right side not too bad either. Looks like I'll be painting this weekend. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  5. Did you end up using the supplied trim or find some S trim?
  6. So far, the ears are living up to their terrible reputation. Fortunately for me, the screen accurate helmets weren't perfectly flush either, but I'll leave it up to ya'll. How does the left ear look? Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  7. Starting in on the bucket... Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

  9. This weekend, I made a run at sewing my own belt. I cut some plastic sheeting and sewed it in to stiffen it up and finished it with velcro ends. Attaching it to the ABS next. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  10. Button painting day. Found the colors in spray form and went for it. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  11. Again, good call. Way better. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  12. I truly appreciate you all. I can't imagine trying to trudge through this on my own. It makes the process enjoyable.
  13. I'm all over this. Great solution, thank you. And good call Caleb. I happen to have some left over black ABS from my Tie Pilot build last year.
  14. I'm redoing the thighs right now since they are much too large around the knee opening. I'm also still working on the burned bicep, but here is what I have so far... Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  15. So, not exact and far from perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how the shoulder straps turned out. It took *a lot* of trial and error and a couple of re-glues, but here they are. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
