I think what you have now with the ridges aligned is fine and dandy, Chris! Even thought the top of the sniper plate is not perfectly horizontal to the calf, to me that's good to go. I'd rather see a gap at the bottom of the sniper plate than see ridges that are way out of whack. My main concern are those magnets that are holding the sniper knee plate in place. Please remove them before you submit your photos, or your knees will resemble Pippi Longstockings. Great job on this, by the way!

Hey Troops! Hope all in FL have manage to battle Hurricane Ian as well as I. After a few uncomfortable days I am back at it. Here are a few pics of blaster build progress.

Available today in the U.S. (no dates on availability elsewhere unfortunately).

As a reference here's my ATA sniper plate, a little heat and some tape to pull backwards to keep tight while the glue is drying, I also leave any areas under strain for 72 hours to fully dry

I've had no issues with nylon snap plates coming off. With other places make sure you try to get them as close to the ends as you can. For the chest / ab I taped them together and checked in a mirror on the placement then worked out spacing from there, easy to adjust the tape to get the right appearance. I do actually use adjustable straps for that area too as sometimes the elastic can loosen over time. You can see the adjustable chest/ab straps in this image

Heat gun did the trick! I finally grew the cahonas to use the heat gun on the armor. If I had known it was that easy ( with a careful eye) I would have used it moons ago. Thanks for the input. Now just gotta add paste to the gap

I use the flatter section on the rear on nylon or ABS plates, helps to sit flush. Depending on the snaps some can only go together one way as the stem length differs, many I've used don't though. Domed on the elastic side Only apply the glue to the nylon, not that it's happen to me but I have heard some have had issues with glue and certain snaps, can cause some heat when drying. Interesting thread here on the subject, another here Make sure you rough the area of armor with some sandpaper to give the glue something to grip too. Also once cut run a lighter or soldering iron across the cuts and melt to stop fraying, or even glue, nylon can fray quite a lot if not sealed. Using some scrap pieces of ABS can help clamp and lay the nylon flat while gluing

This marks completion of the armor (minus so very small tweaks that will be made prior to submission for L2/L3. The addition of the foam really gives a snaug fit for each piece. It also acts as sound dampener. When the armor is knocked on, it sounds solid and not hollow/clanky.

@justjoseph63@TheRascalKing Thank you both! I'm feeling the love. I'm actually still working on my kit very slightly. I've got ABS paste sitting in the extremely small seam in my left thigh-knee right now. I know it doesn't NEED it, but the backs look so good without the seam. The front deserved that sleek one piece look as well.
