  1. Definitely speak with the DO's as Glen mentioned, but if the game version is different to the live action then generally you follow the version you are building to. The red/brown looks closer to the game, where the live action is definitely a deep red or darker tone of red.

  2. Most go for a standard red but I'd run it past the DO's @Deployment Officer Team for their comment

  3. I hope the difference in off white plastics fades with polishing. but gloss white color matched paint may be needed at some point... the new Belt arrived! started to dismantle the original first by drilling out the rivets from the back to make things easier to handle. and ran into an issue... unlike other places on this armor, the person who glued the belt, didn't skimp on the glue on this part... these are not coming off easy, even with the backs of the rivets removed... thinking.... maybe I can find a way to remove things through the back and come up with a different way to attach to the belt than pop rivets...

  4. Firstly, please let me know if I've forgotten someone, I've only ever known Andrew as the DL and couldn't manage to find a comprehensive list whilst researching this meme. If there's anyone I should add, I will do so as soon as possible EDIT: thank you, Caleb, for providing me a complete list! Secondly, thank you all for all of your work, time and effort keeping this Detachment going. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it

  6. Sounds like it's time for me to over-analyze this, lol. As seen in the second image, traditionally for higher levels of approval the pauldron color has closely matched the paint on the armor. Even in the Mandalorian version the colors match pretty close. However, in the videogame image they are not even in the same ballpark. Not a fan of this, to be honest. Videogame Current CRL Mandalorian We have to consider that the game image references are at least 12 years old, and now that we have more solid, updated ones I personally would steer clear of the older version with the mismatched hues of red. Another thing to consider is that in the older version (1st pic) the paint is more of a Burgundy color and lines are not as crisp and clean as the new ones (2nd pic). Some "battle damage" is necessary, but the game paint job is just a mess. The paint details (3rd pic) in the Mandalorian are different as well. As seen in the last image it extends down the front of the thigh cover strip, covers the center of the sniper knee and there is a design on the hand guards. I am really liking the newer version, and considering the updated references I will be suggesting that we closely follow these when it comes time to change the CRL, including the stitching/seam on the pauldron. While we can't dictate a particular paint color, my suggestion will be a "Maroon" red or something close. Same for the pauldron. As for current approvals (Levels 2 and 3) it is my feeling that the pauldron should (closely) match the paint.

  7. Fans are definitely a must to keep trooping just that bit more comfortable. Aker amp and mike set up also really add to the costume and the experience for both children and adult alike. So many times i have heard the words "Ahhhh he talks as well" lol. Glad to hear you have still been working away in the background and can't wait to see some photo updates.

  8. Just in case I haven't posted these (I forget sometimes, so many posts ), some great builds for those with a shorter height, may give you some comparison for trimming https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38416-crickets-rs-stunt-build-for-the-vertically-challenged/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38842-fragarocks-rs-stunt-build-not-to-scale/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42868-sha-shas-wtf-anh-stunt-build-complete/

  9. Just in case you haven't seen there are some mobility cut out references here:

  10. I totally agree with you. It is better if you cut little by little...Better to put on the armor 20 times, than ruin your thighs. Regarding mobility cuts, remember that "Any mobility cuts on the back do not extend beyond the top of the raised ridge". I would adjust less at the top... Something like this: Great job Matt!!!
