I'm here with the last things that I wanted to do before my application for EIB. Looking forward to taking the pictures this weekend and hoping that there's nothing that I overlooked... To start with, I made a list of everything that I thought I could improve with my armor. I've had that list going on for a while now, but this time I went through the last ANH Stunt Centurion Applications, writing down just about anything said. Then I sorted through that list and ended up with 17 improvements that I thought I should get done before my application. The last two weekends I worked through those, so here's a few of the things that I did. Helmet Paint This was mostly a small clean-up, making sure the lines were sharper. Perhaps not the biggest change, but Vocoder lines seem to be something that gets pointed out fairly often. ABS Belt If you've ever looked at the ABS belt, you know that the corners have to be cut at 45° and have to meet the fabric. I'd cut a little too much in my initial build, so I used this opportunity to change that. I don't have a picture without the clamp right now, but I can assure you that it looks a lot better now. Bicep Cover Strip Feel free to continue with the level 4 jokes on this one, but I reglued several cover strips. When I build this armor last summer I didn't always work as cleanly as I'd have liked me to, looking back. I hadn't been a FISD member then, the bicep especially were my first cover strips... It was good, but it wasn't pretty. So this was something that I did purely for myself: removing some of the cover strips (partway or fully and not only at the bicep), cleaning up the glue and regluing it. Honestly? I love the result. It looks tidy and like armor and not like it's in the movie and about to fall apart Thermal Detonator Now, this was not something I'd expected, but upon going through past approvals and the amazing reference by Joseph, I came to the realization that I basically would have to rebuild the entire thing. One of the end caps had a gap to the metal clip, same as the ABS plate. Additionally, the black paint on the screws had all but vanished. Upon fitting both of the ABS pieces, I realized that they hadn't been cut as straight as they should have been, so I got to cut and sand the entire thing a bit. Looking pretty good now, if you asked me Other Those were just some of the 17 improvements, but they're the only ones I've got pictures of. As they're the most interesting things, I'm not too worried about skipping a detailed description of me cleaning up pencil mark or glue residue The next thing will be my approval pictures and then we'll have to see if the DO's can spot anything else that I need to improve. Otherwise I'm sure I'll stumble across more nonsensical improvements in the future in my quest for the mystical level four3 points

Hi folks Shirt Run Open Yes this took some time with waiting on DLFL approval but the shirt run is open at last. Please note, due to the restricted time frame as we are trying to get shirts in hands for celebration in late May, the run will be short closing on the 14th April. If you want a shirt then please don't delay in ordering or run the real risk of missing out. This run is open to Full FISD members with a TK ID specifically, not a legion wide run. Closes 14th April2 points

Just got my approval email today for my FOTK kit. Going from TB-13435 to TK-13435 is quite a bit different. new found respect for TKs, it is some much easier to move around and do things in my Scout kit. now I need to finish my ANH TK. cheers! Bill2 points

Hello Daniel...As they rightly say, you can ask as many questions as you want, and post as many photos as you want You can start by getting a drop box, as you will need it for the basic level (It appears from the pictures that you have only one and it moves from side to side ... or maybe it's in the butt area?)... It was probably stolen by a Jawa... It's a very common issue...2 points

Started to do some cleaning on my bucket after pulling it all apart. plan to spray the inside with truck bed liner, before putting pads and fans back in… (Not pictured) I also decided on how I was going to add structure to the shoulder bridges. Glueing white webbing to the underside. side note I present to you R2! He was finally publicly presentable a few weeks back! and I’m playing with how to hang buckets on my walls.2 points

Thanks Chemi! You're absolutely right and good catch. It went missing at Toronto Comic Con. Those Jawa are everywhere! Luckily that's been sorted already.1 point

Looking forward to seeing your EI application! Looking over your troop log, I'm jealous of your sound of Hans Zimmer and John Williams concert; that would have been amazing to attend.1 point

Nice work on the updates, you can add some photos to the pre approval area for feedback before applying for legion or/and EIB approval https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/193-request-tk-pre-approval/1 point

This is some fantastic work! I may have found a cheap one on ebay to salvage the electronics from for my resin blaster. Thanks for the inspiration!1 point

Always fun to see a good blaster conversion. I enjoyed your resent Asahi airsoft thread too.1 point

T-Tracks were made by gluing together 1mm thick styrene plates. The tips were heated with a lighter and bent into position in the holes of the outer barrel. There were several T-Tracks which burnt up and shriveled being too close to the light flame. I simply made another and tried again till I got it right. Muzzle was made from layering several sheets of styrene sheet and carefully cutting and sanding to a round shape I wanted. Hex bolt was installed in the muzzle for a realistic look. Hengstler counter was DIY'd from styrene plates entirely. For the numbers in the rear, I scavenged the inner parts from an actual counter from a 100 yen shop and glued it in the newly made counter. Here's the blaster during the primer. Aluminum scope rail is not yet install in the photo. The long slot in the receiver was cut out by repeatedly scribing the surface of the receiver with a ruler and box cutter.1 point

Hi Daniel and welcome aboard! Have a read in the “Getting Started-Read this First” section, as there is some really good info in there for new members. Then, have a read in “Costuming and Builds” section to discover other troopers who are building (or have built) the same armor as you! Really good tips, examples, pictures, previously answered questions, and successes here. In addition to looking at all the various build threads, I highly recommend checking out the “Advanced Tactics” section where you can see examples of those who have taken their armor to the next levels of screen accuracy (EIB and Centurion). I’d recommend that you aim to tweak your build to one of the certification levels, as TK’s look their best at these levels. It's really not hard to acquire EIB or Centurion. If, and when, you’re looking for other bits –and-pieces, accessories, boots, blasters, electronics, etc., be sure to check out the “Imperial Commissary” section for items for sale, project runs, and for other stuff that most of the troopers use. Also, make contact with your local Garrison (Canadian Garrison). They’ll help guide you through the process of becoming a member of the 501st, and may have local Armor Parties in the works where you can get hands-on build advice and guidance, not to mention meet members of your future Garrison. Take a long look at the CRL, and the build threads here on FISD; Go over your kit piece by piece and make a laundry list of required changes. You'll be trooping in no time! All the best on your TK journey!1 point

Hi Dan, welcome to FISD! Nice looking kit you got there. We've all been through the learning process and I can say that learning more and more just makes the armor more exciting. Great photos, thanks for sharing.1 point
