  4. ***UPDATE*** I have started sending out PM's to those we have chosen images from, so please check your forum messages. If you have received a PM, please follow the instructions within. As an additional piece of information, please attached the requested images as .jpeg or .png files, and not embedded into the email. We are unable to use images that need to copied and pasted into a document from the body of an email for this project. Also please only send the best resolution you have. Examples of usable resolution are files 1meg or higher. Some at around 600+KB are ok, but I have received a few photos that are as low as 109KB- 300KB and there fore are way too small to use unfortunately. If emailing from a device where you took the photo, you should be able to attache the image at various resolution, go for the highest you have. This may mean you might have to send multiple emails and that is perfectly fine as it is the sharp quality we want. If the image was shared with you through messenger the photo is going to be a low res and not usable. In that case if you know who took the original, you may certainly ask them to email it to me for use. Many thanks and for those who have received a PM, please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions. Once I have all the images, we will move to the next stage of the project and will finally reveal what this is all about.

  5. I’m loving these memes. Although at the rate Glen is cranking them out, he’s going to hit 30K posts in no time [emoji1787].

  6. Hello all, Grew up a life long fan of Star Wars and getting my children involved as fans as well. After much research on this site, I have chosen the route of purchasing a ESB tk outfit from RS propmasters. I am currently thinking of applying to be a member of the 501st in the Wisconsin garrison. I will have to kit up sometime, get some pictures taken and sent in here for pre-approval. Always good to have extra eyes to help see what I am missing, and hopefully get approved and out trooping to help bring smiles to peoples faces young and old.

  7. Forum only allows a certain amount of images, most of us use a free online image host IMGUR, upload your photos then copy the links into your post, here is a how too

  8. Hi Matt, glad to see you were able to remove the rivets with no damage to the plastic. As you can see in the bellow comparison, and this is not the best new I would like to give you but It looks like you will need to relocate the kidney rivets too.

  11. Looking good James, other than thinning out your legs as Glen mentioned you'll need to shim the back of the armor. That should resolve most if not all of your fitment issue. Keep up the great work

  12. Did some taping to check out the abdomen and chest/back (decided not to trim and return edges on the chest/back. Did do the top of the abdomen though). You can see James was a little overzealous on the tape job! Here are my pics: Here are James's picks: Let us know if there is anything we need to adjust.

  13. I did some sanding today between jobs and decided it was time to glue the "folding stock" parts together. The seam needs to be filled, but I actually got a pretty good line with just the glue so filling shouldn't be too labourious. I also decided to re-model "Trigger 1" whilst I am mucking about with fusion. The supplied one is a big blocky and chunky and I'm not a fan of it. I saw in a Facebook group some one did one based on a real one so I did the same. Now I am no gun nut so I just googled and ended up using an H&K MP5 as a basis. Now it's not exactly canon but it looks better, will hopefully feel better and also I could add a switch if I want to. There should be room for a small tactile switch, though a micro switch would be better. I did rotate the angle from the reference image to match the model as I'll need room to get to trigger 2 but I'll do a test print and see how it goes. Again I've only ever used 1 fire arm in my life so don't expect too much here, I just wanted something a little more realistic.

  14. Nice work a couple of things you may want to address. Just touch up some of the missing tube stripe (4th from front). Also bottom black line of the cheek trap is a little thin. Vocoder is not very sharp on the hump details, some references Just around the ear bumps is a little rounded, you could square up those lines a little. Bottom right corner of cheek trap the black line is a little too thick

  15. "Too much you" that's gold With standard OTTK's of larger size many add some extra material, in this case you would have to add it to both sides so you keep the raised areas central. Here's a few OTTK thigh expansion threads which may help

  16. I got a chance to wear my armor the other day to test everything out. I was able to take some great pictures but did find an issue I'm having problems solving... But first, here are the pictures: It felt awesome to finally get to wear the whole thing and I was really happy with how well its coming along and how great the pictures turned out. The one issue I'm having is with my thigh armor. As you can probably tell from the images, its hanging pretty low from my belt. Admittedly, the belt is slipping some so I need to maybe add some velcro to it to keep it snug, but even with it snug I can't get the thigh armor to go much higher. After having my wife look at how it fits in the back, in her words, "there's just too much you in there." Other than looking wrong, it also causes the sniper knee plate and ammo belt to catch on the thigh/shin and it makes walking difficult. It is also damaging the paint on each of the parts unfortunately... Also, because the thigh armor is so low, it causes the drop boxes to catch on the top of the thighs since they should be floating above them. All of that being said, my thighs and calves are fairly large from being a bigger guy (mostly) but also years of playing drums. I'm not sure if trimming them along the inside contour would give me some more room to move up more, or if I need to make some kind of shim for where they close in the back. Otherwise, I think I'm doing pretty well and I'm pretty close to submitting for approval. If you notice anything else, definitely let me know. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  18. No wonder they have a hard time getting good pilots. Our 401(k) match is awesome, and at least we get a re-location allowance.
