OK, here goes... At the top of this page is your FISD username, left click to bring down the drop down box. Right click on Account Settings, and select open in new tab (this let you flick between these instructions and actually editing your signature) On the account settings page select signature on the left hand side of the window (bottom of the list). You should see: [Signature Restrictions] under that is [View Signatures] Under that is a box that shows a preview of your signature as well as where you can type text (with editor tools for changing font style and colour and adding links to other pages) Under that is another box where you can either drag and drop images for your signature, or you can click on [choose files] to navigate to the files you want to use. When you're all done click save at the very bottom of that page. Find any post you've already made (maybe here) to see exactly how your signature looks. If you're anything like me it'll change several times before you're happy with it. Any probs let me know3 points

The project that I have been working on has been chugging along - about to have an announcement in a couple of days so I thought that I'd create a landing zone for here. I'll start by gathering the production photos already posted around the net:1 point

Hello Everyone I've been a huge fan of all things star wars since I was a kid, now in my late 40's with kids getting older I can start having more fun myself. I got into 3d printing making helmets about 6 months ago. Now i'm ready to make a full suit and hopefully get approved and join a community of great people with same passion Just trying to decide on storm trooper or clone trooper, both look amazing. I look forward to getting to know you all and making a cool suit to wear and enjoy1 point

Hi All! I'm looking to print a full TFA First Order TK in ABS and use acetone vapor smoothing to get rid of layer lines. I will use sanding where acetone vapor method is not viable. How ever, I have yet to find a good source (free or paid) of acurate files. Here listed are a few options, but cannot get any info if they are accurate enough. If you know a good source for High-Resolution and accurate files, please let me know. 1. Do3d offer these files. 2. CGT trader has this (option 1) and this (option 2). 3. Thingverse has this (option 1) and this (option 2) offer 4. Etsy has this (may be low resolution), 5. Dristen has a wonderful post on therpf.com (and has posted on whitearmor.net forms as well, but never released the files). Really, that's all i could find with no mention of accuracy. I would love any input you have to offer. Regards, Jolly1 point

Thanks all. I do use Imgur for my pics, but when I tried uploading the vids with it they didn't work. I'll try again. This blaster does have a small panel on the bottom of the receiver (where on the real gun one of the ejection ports would be) specifically made to hold the main display plus a couple of the buttons. However, I just thought of a "real" blaster and it would seem silly to put the display facing downwards. I wanted everything to be seen by the operator when it is raised to the shoulder. Non cannon, but still plausible. Ok. Files uploaded successfully to Imgur. I'll see if they play. https://i.imgur.com/oUXECZ2.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/yAaDIyI.mp41 point

Yes, we matched the color from the figure. "Schiefergrau - RAL 7015" fits best.1 point

I know a guy with a set of files that I believe is as accurate as you could get, but we are yet to convince him to offer them up for sale. He is legion approved in his printed costume, but this is all the information I can give you at this stage. If this changes in the future I will be sure to promote the fact they are available for purchase.1 point

Yes, it actually works the same way. You need an online host (like Youtube) to upload your videos to and then place the link in your thread. That should work. Oh, and great job done so far.1 point

Looks pretty good to me. The ridges are aligned most importantly. many sniper plates sit a little crooked, mine included as it is impossible to get it to sit 100% level with the left and right ridges aligned correctly.1 point

If you look through these pages of awesome posts, you will notice I have now given a post number to each one containing images. These will all come under review by a team of detachment staff so we can sort through, catagorise, and pick out a good variety for the upcoming special project. As a reminder to all who have posted photos, once the selection process is complete over the next couple of weeks, if your image or images are chosen, you will receive a PM from myself or one of the team. There will be more details in that message, and a further update in this thread and the DL's Blog will be posted when those PM's will start to go out. Stay tuned everyone1 point

POST 14 I can supply the high resolution photo with the appropriate clearances when needed. Awards are given to individuals and not the armor itself. A big part of it is based on how it fits you. You will need to submit a request for yourself.1 point
