That's why I comment. Mike has to focus on his life. This is not so important.1 point

And just to make sure we're all using the same terminology: These are what we (at FISD) commonly refer to as "popper snaps": (the ones you had pictured in your post, above) These are the style of snaps commonly referred to as "Line 24 snaps": ("Line 24" is technically Tandy's brand name / size designation for this style of snap, but it has become fairly ubiquitous and can be found referring to snaps of the same size and variety that were NOT made by Tandy, too. Anovos supplies "Line 24-style snaps" with their kits.) (Photos are not meant to be precise, and are not the right finish, etc., they were just handy on Wikipedia's page and show the two main variations nicely)1 point

I've only removed my ammo pack from my belt once in the 3+ years I've had it (which was quite simple, with the Chicago screws), so I personally recommend the Chicago screws over the snaps that Justin is recommending, but either will do the job. Go whichever way you prefer. My belt hasn't been damaged, so I think you're fine as long as you're not trying to press sharp folds. I used a dab of e6000 on the back to hold the drop boxes in place, although I'll be changing that method to Velcro, since I need them to be removable for some alternate armor configurations. (HWT) There's no need for rivets. Use whatever method you want to attach the elastic to the boxes. The popper snaps are NOT what you want for the one visible snap that gets mounted into the corner of the ab plate. You need the ones Anovos supplied, or Line 24 snaps. Popper snaps don't have the right base. I'm referring to the upper snap, here: These same snap types are also used for the crotch strap snaps in the butt plate, NOT the popper snaps (and not the front cod, that's just a smooth dome rivet). Those are good for internal strapping connections (shoulder straps in particular) and for the belt connection. Butt plate: Otherwise, I agree with Justin's advice, above.1 point

would say a fair amount of the assembly is very similar to the legacy Era Trooper, Again one of kevins kits so perhaps have a look a this thread/wip it might kick you off in the right direction https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/44182-legacy-fem-trooper-version-a-tj_fem-wip/1 point

Great news and so glad it fits you well, some guys have had problems with sizing. Looking forward to seeing more, when you can stop smiling at yourself1 point

I flipped to inverse and messed with the contrast and brightness (a great way to see small dark details BTW) and it looks very much like a reflection to me.1 point

From those and so many other photos and other forum posts I can see this is not an area that is absolute. Some members and screen used helmets have grey extended past uncut tooth, with that uncut tooth either cleared or painted over. Others just taper off after the last cut tooth and don't extend that far. The CRL is not specific so it seems to be owners choice and fine as long as some screen used reference can be cited.1 point

Hey man - it looks like you got the BIG Clorox wipes container if I'm seeing your photos right. You DON'T want the "standard" 70-count wipe 4.5" container, you want the slightly smaller 35-count wipe 3.4" container (*or another similar sized container) to be more in line with the dimensions acceptable to the CRL. Hope this helps! https://www.amazon.com/35-Count-Disinfecting-Wipes-2-Pack-Bundle/dp/B00FY52DJ2/ref=sr_1_23?keywords=clorox+wipes&qid=1567544362&s=hpc&sr=1-231 point

Or perhaps mix up a batch of Retr0bright, if you're going to be applying it regularly, to save some money over the commercial products. It's really simple. (recipe easily searched online)1 point

The RS helmet is gorgeous with the imperfections. I troop with a guy who has one on a regular basis and he's happy with his kit. That being said, I have an AP myself and have been pretty happy with it. I WOULD order an extra set or 2 of the shoulder straps as they take a lot of abuse and are prone to breaking. I think I got about 12 troops out of my first set, and others in my garrison have run into the same issue.1 point

I got 11b30b4's straps as the ABS straps were not going to work for me. Since I have a Crystal patrol pack, and have been wearing it with my ANH kit, the pressure and wear on ABS straps, and being uncomfortable after a few hours, the rubber straps were the way to go. Instead of the embedded velcro I ordered them without and glued two snaps in the center. Stuck velcro on the ends which Im going to trim back a little as the edges show. The snap connects to the Front/back/shoulder bell assembly. I had to shorten my straps for proper fit. And being rubber, they should help with the issues I was having with the pack straps sliding off the abs straps and sitting between the bell sometimes! Highly recommend swapping to rubber straps! Thanks for the kind words Kevin, but don't sweat it I wasn't offended and no one needs to feel bad or apologize to me - I've been around long enough to know what to expect on the various forums and Detachments. And I also know that sometimes comments and meanings aren't exactly conveyed properly in written form, so I wasn't hurt or upset. I only posted in FISD at all because I knew the sculpt was loosely "based" off the Legacy stuff, so I could use some of the builds here to mirror cut lines as this is brand new for me. When all is said and done I did get the help I needed here, and am well on my way building it. I have a WIP on my local Garrison boards, but if there is ever interest or other people need help down the road I'll gladly share it. My wife and I have between us probably 25 or more costumes, and although most are cannon and 501st approved several are just for fun because we love costuming and love dressing up. This is one that we are planning for fun, and really looking forward to because our middle daughter has embraced Star Wars and dressing up more then any of the other kids and almost as hardcore as me! The goal is to get my wife in hers so we can take some nice family pix.... imagine her next to us in a shot like this hahaha! Little Rey with a boy and girl FOTK? Cute.1 point
