I found in the gallery some photo's had measurements for size of stripe. Each foot is different so no real from the toe measurement could be given. I just made it look like the picture. I used bullfrog tape instead of blue tape. It stops bleeding more then blue. Plus it is friendlier to curves. Good Luck Commander!2 points

My patches arrived today, and i just want to say, they are beautiful, I mean, in the flesh, they are absolutely beautiful. Great work Jason for a great design, and to Brien for getting them done in time.2 points

Hi everyone! First thing to admins - if this topic should be started at other forum - please let me know or just move it there! Tere are rumors and "leaks" about troopers of 709th Legion to be showed in ipcoming ep9. Firstly it was mentioned by Scott Trowbridge, discussing Galaxy's Edge...then described by Jason Ward’s at @makingstarwars and the Crew T-Shirt via leaked on twitter. There was a rough idea of how this Kylo's special forces will look like...till new poster leaked. Basing on these pics, I tried imagine - how the helmet could look like. So far what I see: 1) flat chin area, 2) flat splitted nose plate, 3) forehead grooves, 4) no mic tip, 5) flat lines 6) Phasma motives1 point

Are you serious???? Anovos has the moxie to hold a panel at CELEBRATION?????? People are going to rip them to shreds.......I mean I have been waiting (like most of you since 2016 for this kit, and I have been waiting for other star wars items to ship as well) I keep the faith but its tough. I hope you guys record the panel or post highlights to this thread. I'll be all waiting to hear what happens. I see they have a booth but they are not listed as an event/panel according to the celebration schedule I see.1 point

Really hard to say, they don't seem as prominent in this image though but the centre raised section still appears to follow that of the nose.1 point

Blue tape don’t do curves. What I did I found workable is to cut the tapes into strips of 5mm - 10mm wide, then they are easier to conform to the shape of the boot. Then use some more tape to cover the exposed area leaving the area to be paint clear. For the position and the size, I just eyeballed it using masking tape to do a mock up and take pictures to check against the CRL and game grab screens, before I really go on to the painting process.1 point

Took me a few minutes to figure out what stripes you were talking about but I’m on the right page now. I’m in no means an expert on the commander or anything for that point but I looked at the CRL and it looks like the top stripe goes across the the area of the foot where the leg curves into the foot around where the heel starts on the bottom. For the front stripe I’d just come off and inch or two maybe. Honestly it’s not stated in the CRL so I’m assuming nobody knows exact measurements but one would use a best guesstimate. http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_commander Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Copy. though I was referring to the instructions not your build. Other builders need to understand this is incorrect as I suspect other assembly areas will not be correct. TFA - https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31877-ukswraths-fotk-build-thread/ Specifically the cod , though not entirely screen accurate because of how the armor was designed - https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31877-ukswraths-fotk-build-thread/page/13/?tab=comments#comment-443442 Hope this helps1 point

Day 4- another productive day. Finished the paint on the helmet and put in the frown mesh. Aside from all the electronics (still have to get them) helmet I think should be done for now. I know the angle of the ears isn’t what it should be, but going to save that issue for another time when I have more experience. next I started to move on to the arms. I started working on the right arm first. Had to do a bit of trimming since the AM is made to fit large troopers. I went with small cuts at a time, tape them together, test fit, remeasure, rinse and repeat. In the end I got the forearm and the bicep trimmed to fit cover strips all cut, and glued the inside cover strips on. Using E-6000 for the entire build, not wanting to take a chance on the zap a gap just yet being so new. After work tomorrow I’ll be gluing the other parts of the arm together, and then Monday I’ll get the outer cover strips on. It feels great to see it start to take shape.1 point

Build day 3- Overall a pretty productive day. Took a bit more time to get everything lined up when I put the helmet back together, and also realized there was trimming I needed to do on the right ear. I took a little to much off, but I think it will work ok since the screen helmets had some gaps anyway. Got the tube stripes, s-trim and the padding put in. Still need to do some adjusting with the padding, right now it’s sitting a bit high making it even harder to see, but that’s part of the deal too. Thinking about adding a chin strap to help hold everything in place as well, but we’ll see. Tomorrow I’ll get the ears painted, and look at getting the mesh behind the frown done. On that topic- what’s the recommended method for attaching the from mesh? It came with some that’s a plastic material.1 point
