Runnriottt Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) After 8 years in the Navy, I finally got my AA in Arts this last week. I am now off to get my BA in Education and it feels great! Just so happens that about the same time I got a cool email and low and behold this hit my door. Its a CAP high gloss styrene ANH lid. And its looking to be a rare breed of helmet. This is number 6 and will be one of the last to ever be made from CAP, not only of this type but of all types. So I am honored to have it. Thick and thin, and some times not very PC, he has been a friend. I pray him peace and freedom from what he has wrestled with in the past as well as recently. So proudly sitting on my desk at work is my CAP sig series HG sporting my "cap" 09 black hat. Thank you my friend. =========== Edited February 6, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote

Runnriottt Posted June 16, 2009 Author Report Posted June 16, 2009 The degree is a milestone. Next stop BA! Feels good! CAP in a word is retired. He has walked away from props all together. White plastic is not his life any more, he is perusing other interests. I for one wish him the best. Quote

tkrestonva[TK] Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 The bucket is nice, the degree is better. Life can take nearly everything from you, but an education is yours forever. Congratulations bro, and never stop wanting to learn. Quote
Plastic Fury[TK] Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Congrats on the degree (it felt like many years to get my BA but looking back, it went sooo fast) and on the very nice bucket, I would love to have something like that in my house. Quote
TK:TK Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Congratulations! Now you have a really nice bucket to put your much more expensive brain into! Well done. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 The bucket is nice, the degree is better. Life can take nearly everything from you, but an education is yours forever. Congratulations bro, and never stop wanting to learn. Brian is 100% correct. You can have 300 credits and no degree. A degree lasts a lifetime, and your education will always return a dividend. Quote
JoeR Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 CAP issues aside, that is a nice helmet. I like the display too! Congratulations on your degree, I did my law degree as a mature student and it is a great feeling to finally finish. Joe Quote
