Youe E11 blaster looks great but there are some details that we'll need you to make a fix . The CRL states for Level 2: 3-D printed blasters can not contain visible print lines, and must be sanded smooth for a more realistic appearance. There are some visible lines in your blaster that will need a little more sanding and a cape paint to give it a smooth finish. justjoseph63[Staff] Posted June 23, 2023 Report Share Posted June 23, 2023 Filling in those areas will be a bit of work, Alex, but it's not nearly as hard as you think. What I suggest is to sand down the areas (shown by Mario) and using Bondo Glazing /Spot putty. This is miracle stuff. Unlike regular Bondo which requires mixing, it is a paste that you can simply apply with your fingers or a craft stick. It fills fine to medium lines like magic, dries hard in less than 20-30 minutes or less and is SUPER easy to sand! Just don't go too heavy. I build a lot of resin/3D items and would not do one without it. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Starting from top, as the crl states, Ideally, placement of ears (and screws) should closely follow the rear angle of the trap above them . This is suggested for more accuracy if it's possible for you top make it without damaging the helmet. Reference Images Fall of tube stripe tops ideally lean toward the front. This is a common detail we see in the reviews that we suggest the change for more accuracy. Reference Images Looking closely to your ab/kidney connection front view, there's a noticeable a gap that perhaps could be fixed with a strapping adjustment. Reference Images This one looks like a dressing issue. Next time you put on your Thermal Det. be sure that someone place it a little down matching the canvas belt. Reference Images *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. CRL L3: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates. shortening the shoulder strap and a bit could reduce the gap. Another trick here is to remove the Shoulder Bell's return edge to allow them to sit close the chest armor. Reference Images CRL L3: The plastic shoulder straps need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the white fabric that connects/bridges the chest and back piece. Your shoulder straps are slightly raised. This can be corrected by adding the white elastic required. Reference Images CRL L3: Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top You have almost no gap between AB and kidney but in order to get them aligned on top there's a little return edge that you will need to trim or fold over with a hot water bath or very carefully with a heat gun. Reference Images It could be my eyes but it looks like your small Ab buttons panel has a little return edge around. A little trimming would be necessary to make it flat and smaller so the ab raised ridge can be seeing Reference Images CRL L3: Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. Yours are just a bit too far in. Most Troopers use to add a bit of glue to the drop box elastic to keep them in place Reference Images CRL L3 : Lower thigh ridge joins (front and rear) shall butt-up flush against each other. Any gaps must be backed with ABS or filled as not to be noticeable. A commonly suggested solution is gluing a small piece of ABS plastic behind and filling the front with ABS paste.
