  1. Hello Hanson! Being 6" is very common, and with your weight I think you'll get it to fit you in a nice way with shims! I'm 6" (with shims) and for me the biggest thing was that the gap between the thigh and shins was a little bit large due to my long legs. What I did there was to just velcro the shins to sit a tiny bit higher on my boots to meet up with the thighs! Sometimes I put them too high if I haven't got a spotter with me, but that is the good thing about velcro, just do it again! I think you get the gist! But you'll get there when you get there, first off - THERMAL DATONATOR!
  2. Congratulations!! What a journey! Have you had that first event yet?
  3. Hello and welcome Mark! Have you had that first armor party yet? Excited to check in how you're feeling about everything!
  4. ^^^^^ Of course I missed that!
  5. Welcome to the FISD! You've made an excellent choice, one of us, one of us!!
  6. Congratulations to the both of you! This is so well deserved and your generosity doesn't go unnoticed!

  12. Hello there! Sounds like a really exciting journey ahead! If you haven't already, start a build thread, they are awesome!
  13. Welcome Danny!! Would love to see your armor and how it fits!
  14. Good to have you here Matthew! Make sure to enjoy the feeling (even if it can be scary) and the ride that you'll go on! How do you feel about getting started?
  15. I really loved it! It made me incredibly pumped of going out in Stormtrooper armor and take the vibe of the video out with me on a troop! I don't know why exactly, but I love the way this feels like we are being taught at the Stormtrooper Academy! I'm sitting here like a hype-man when you said the two words "Move, and along" I was like "THAT'S RIGHT!! MOVE!" If you had a mic and speakers in your helmet, that would be very cool and immersive! Also make sure that you are centered in the frame! I have used my phone for my videos and I think with the back camera (not selfie camera) you can get really good quality results! Although you'd need to have a piece of tape or something on the ground so that you'd for sure be in good position in the frame! If you don't have a green screen or the means to get something like that - I like this monotone grey background! You could in an easy way create a Death Star corridor wall with plywood or whatever and spray it grey and have a pattern like that as a background! Or if not, maybe try to stretch out the fabric! Awesome video idea and series and I'd watch every one!
  16. Hello Brian, or should I say "Braaiiiinnnnnn"! Great to have you here and that you have decided to get this particular costume! We don't see them too often! You have a cool take on it to not expose any skin, it would make it very versatile, I hope your GML would accept something like that!
  17. Hello Ted and welcome! Great to have you here! When you say "basic trooper kit", do you mean that you want to get the A New Hope kit perhaps? The hardest part in this hobby is usually when you have to decide what kit you want!
  18. Sweden too, but I have absolutely no problem in adapting to a calendar that starts on a Sunday, for me it would be a case of who cries the loudest wins haha! Having some obvious SW-related days could be nice along with victory day and 500 day as you wrote and more of that nature @Sly11! Simply ignoring all the red days and making sure that people can add that themselves is the safest option! But yes, it all depends on the next DL and the priorities of course
  19. I guess the hardest thing would be all the red days for the different countries and making sure to mention everything like that
  20. I know someone who is a TK that works let's say in the SW-universe who would gladly help out in putting something together, I could reach out to him!
  21. Congratulations Brian! You've got my dream kit! It has been a pleasure to follow along this project and finally see it completed, and most importantly that you're now ONE OF US! Welcome TK-47933!
  22. Happy new year everyone! Thank you for 2023, it sure was a year to remember for many reasons! Here's to 2024 and all the joy we'll bring to the people of the world!
