Looks like you did a good job on the build up, you need about 4 dozen hands to put these together on your own.. The only thing i would suggest is trimming the brow trim more level with the end of the trap but you said you wanted to replace that anyways and i would leave it with 3 teeth

Yes some of the original helmets had the slight flair but it is a little over exagerated on the AP, you can just trim it away no problem if you dont really like it

Actually i think they look spot on, your decals seem to match up nicely with the christies esb helmet

I voted yes to this just because i like hand painted helmets. Smitty's T*E esb lid looks nice and if it were mine i would not change the decals. However i will be upgrading my AP esb lid with the new decals being made available by members here

I must say it looks like 'kevin' padded this lid out big style and then changed his mind and removed it.. From now on over padding the interior of your helmet will be refered to as; "doing a kevin"

The way i had cut my cod was bugging me too and i didnt like the look so i bought another ab plate and redid it to give my armour a more accurate movie look. I cut my 2nd cod higher and also added 2 inches in between to get my belt to waist height not round my hips. I think it makes a vast improvement to the look of fx armour, and certainly for taller troopers is a mod mod to do.

Hey thanks for posting these, regardless of accuracy i think i prefer hand painted 'decals' over stickers any day of the week. There is something satifactory about painting them for yourself and i like the way they look. Anyhoo i guess we had better get used to a run of accurate decals..

All apart from this one, it would seem.... not all helmets were painted

Sorry i dont want to get too off topic but are stickers cool for anh elite aswell as hand painting? So should hand painting and stickers be ok for esb elite also? Back to this lid, great stuff

I think you need to use a special brush i dont know the name but it is flat and rounded at the end, see pic below. Dont overload your brush as it can run, take your time and look at plenty if good reference photos. Here is my vocoder and the kind of brush i used
