  1. I hope everything is ok with Tony.
  2. It will want to look something like this
  3. I think it would need to be in black other wise you will not see the split
  4. I used Humbrol #22 gloss white on my lid, it kinda maked the other armour parts look a little grey now
  5. The latex gloves are really cool i like them alot Grubby belt with the holster held on with 2 set screws And original 70's haircut...
  6. Ok so i was having a little fun today and suited up for some pics. There are not the best, sorry i really need to get some out door pics done sonetime... Anyway i wanted to see how my TE2 looks with my costume and Stormtrooper's latex hand guards also, so i thought i would put together some bits and pieces for ANH stunt trooper look.
  7. Looks great man, very nice indeed And i think the last person in your predicament decided to get a replacement ammo belt and kept the sds part as is, there's always that option
  8. Pm sent to you 2 about the bells... the bells...
  9. Awesome i love seeing work like this
  10. Check out the threads and you cant go wrong with a TE2
  11. Great stuff Jim, well done mate
  12. Hey guys im very proud to be the first ESB elite trooper and would not have been able to do this without the help from everyone here at the fisd To celebrate im going to take a dremel to my hasbro and see what happens when the counter comes off Thanks guys you rock
  13. Looking awesome there buddy keep up the good work trooper
  14. Thanks for all the kind words guys, i am really happy with this helmet. Will you believe i painted the whole thing by hand, this helmet has not been anywhere near a rattle can. Its a shame the pics dont really show the details, i tried to get a few drips in the paint for added authenticity but there are only 3 small dribbles in the whole thing... Im hoping to suit up for some pics next weekend by which time i hope to have found some foam for the inner and it'll be all done
  15. Awesome work Scott you did a very nice job. The AP looks a little bigger than the SDS, is that so? All you need is a set of Stomer or Keith's mic tips to fininsh it off
  16. You can see im not 100% on this one i need to do the rear trap lines and i may even leave the stripes off, i just wanted to get some pics posted.. Here are the details, you wont find any stickers here Better pictures will come when its daylight but you get the idea, this is my new favourite prop Thanks to everyone here that gave me tips and inspiration for making this build possible, cheers fbj
  17. The only thing i have done to the helmet before finishing the build was cut out the teeth a little more and sand the eye sockets, everything else is as it was when it came into my possession
  18. I was lucky to get myself a TE2 helmet for xmas and have been itching to get stuck in and get this finished. I was thoroughly impressed by Mr. X. throughout the transaction and had the main man himself assemble my lid for me. While i was waiting for the weather to perk up a bit i put together my other helmet esb style but from the start i wanted to build my TE2 to pretty much the same standards as the helmets would have been for the original film. I wanted to try and make this look like what it may have done for the start of filming in 1977
  19. Ok so i saw the updated standards and have removed the 3 greeblies from the left side and have added the 3 studs to the right side so am bumping this thread up. TK 8993 applying for esb elite status, again
  20. I love them, the MG is my favourite
  21. Well all the screen used helmets were painted by hand no decals were uesed apart from one helmet that TE discovered.. so all the grey's would be the same. I think it comes down to personal preference with the colour for the painted parts. The colour used would be the humbrol but that may not nessesarily match your particular decals. The humbrol paint usually gets darker the more coats you give it. I would like to see all the colours the same but it may not be possible if you are using a decal kit to finish off your lid
  22. He's also a member here. So if you dont hear back after a week or so send him a pm and it will drop an email to his upto date addy
  23. There seems to be more than 1 tk with no-stripes. There is a stunt version with four teeth and a hero version with 3 teeth that i have seen in the film. My TE2 anh stunt build i hope to have finished by the week end is going to be no stripes, why could'nt this thread of started after i showed pictures of that
  24. To be honest i say 'wait and see'. Like everything else the promo pictures will be nothing like the costume that exits that box. If you really got what you see in the picture minus the helmet it would not be a bad costume.
  25. I have in mp AP but the foam i had laying aroung the house was white so its hard to see. I will get some in the yellow when i next pop into the city. As for a template, just get up a nice pic of a real helmet and draw what you see on a piece of paper. Test fit and adjust to taste and viola... accurate helmet foam.
