The ones used in the films are White or off White. Generally the inside of the tips were still white with the outside being painted black. The mesh is usually plain metal colour. However some had the mesh painted black, some remained white or the paint rubbed off and some were a mix of the two.. Check out ref pics and choose the version you like

If you want a true Hero style helmet then i guess a TM would be a good choice

I think there was a lot of standing on boxes during filming - the guy who I'm working with who was a trooper in esb and Jedi said his first memory of filming empire was walking onto the sound stage and seeing a tall man standing on a box. When he asked what for, the reply was 'that's chewbacca's stand in!'

The 2 space troopers were played by Joe Johnston and he's about 6'1

Just been talking to him and yep - he was 5'9 when he did the filming He did say there were taller and shorter troopers than him ...

It's not an exact science - but I am pretty good at guessing other peoples height and weight. I myself in barefeet stand at 5'11. I used to be taller until I shattered my pelvis. I wear boots that make me around 6'1. The actor I'm with today is shorter than me and obviously wearing shoes to work - but not anything that would add extra height. He's a good 2 inches shorter and at a guess I would put him at 5'9. Infect I've just been on imdb and that's what is says. He's taller than you John whichever way you look at it.

Update: I have a guy working in my building this week that was a stormtrooper in ESB and ROTJ and I've just measured him. I stand at 6'1 in my work boots and he is a good 2 inches shorter than I am - so I guess he's around the 5'9 mark..

My advice would be to leave the dremel well alone!!

Remember not all the helmets were bumpy - some were nice and smooth...................

I've trooped in another country - a great experience And something I would like do again someday.

Where are the close ups of the shoulder bridges, ab plate buttons ( the top one of the 5 looks white? ) and lens colour? and the front shot is what i would call the action shot, not a decent straight on front shot? Things i noted were the belt looks loose and is too low, not showing the correct gap between the kidney and butt plate and the drop boxes are too low.. I would have liked to have seen a flawless request from the boss, but like many other EIB threads recently the quality has gone south Sorry to be so blunt Paul, but the idea of the programme was to help raise the bar - something which you now more about than most as you started this detachment. But i must say in the quest to level mepd the most basic standards of even applying correctly are getting lower all the time Im sure its nice armour and you have the details right but for anyone reading this, its important to get the details right for the application - and more so if you are the leader of the gang.

I think it was made out of waist plastic left over from other projects.

What's wrong with my original description? And they do not need to be white, that's optional.
