  1. The trouble with screen grabs and such is that they are usually showing troopers from the waist and higher - next to no up close screen shots of the lower legs. Couple this with the fact they are painted white makes it harder to see. But by setting the bench mark asking for the thigh pack to be glued you are starting another untrue rumour of what is screen accurate. We know they were riveted by looking at original armour archive pictures and so why not spread accurate infomation??
  2. I dont think the bell swoop needs to be written - either way should be fine Reading the guidelines again - i still dont get why visible rivets for the thigh are in question. Every suit ive seen has this rivited on - only the sniper knee plate on the shin is glued?
  3. Here are you classic sewn on hand plates.. Hand plates without holes.. And if you look cloesely at the trooper to the right of Han, you can see the gloves are rubber, not fabric..
  4. I thi nk hero or stunt helmet choice should be there. Also on gloves - rubber gloves should have hand plates on elastic over the palm.. Silk gloves with hand plates sewn on.. Both should be an option.
  5. Good luck with that one.. Is that I can of worms I can hear being opened somewhere..
  6. This is a very nice submission; the only things i noticed were you may need to trim the corner's of the plastic ammo belt to 45' and there should be no black on the td tube .. Apart from that this is a very nice looking set of armour and great pictures
  7. I certainly wasnt the one who noticed the ESB lid being a anh hero in disguise - but i did build one. Every helmet i make i like to try new things out - this was one of those.. I will see if i still have the pics - must be somewhere...
  8. I prefer little to no return on my bells I note in the films they are random - some large, some small..
  9. Hi Brian I was spotting at the Harlow centre event when your were talking to the plasterer - was his name Arthur? I overheard the whole conversation between you two and it was very interesting
  10. Vern you don't seem to have learned much from your time here about armour history - fact..
  11. Funily when i wanted to get drip marks in my ESB helmet paint job - i tried really hard to make the paint run and it would not do it to order - weird
  12. This is what AA uses now - but is by no means any proof of what the prop department used back in the day. More likely a white glue was used.
  13. I would like to see a GINO - TE - AA cage fight tag team - that would be awesome
  14. But the legs and arms are from the outside - just the torso and lid from inside?
  15. Remember the armour was trimmed by the guys wearing the suits at the time to make them more comfortable.
  16. Shame you cannot make it - its alway nice for the TM owners club to have a get together...
  17. Looking good so far Kenco - are you going to bring this with you to MEM?
  18. Are you wanting to build an accurate replica? Is so all the parts should have a minimum return and the wrist part of the forearm whould have no return at all. Its upto you how much you like or prefer..
