  1. Welcome, Adam! You're certainly in the right place for all things Stormtrooper-related! Congrats on your BBB (big brown box) Day; it's always very exciting (and daunting)! I do know that some troopers offer assembly services, but can't point you to anybody specific. I'm sure somebody else will chime in with some information though. That being said, at one point all of us had never before put together our own kit before, and relied heavily on the resources here on FISD. I would encourage you to take a shot at it yourself, especially since you'll be able to guarantee proper fitment to your body. If you have somebody else assemble it for you, you'll need to provide very specific measurements of many parts of your figure, and then upon completion of the suit you'll likely need to make further adjustments yourself. You have a whole group of fine folks here on these forums to help you along your journey, so if you decide to assemble yourself, definitely start a build thread and post LOTS of updates with photos, and ask TONS of questions! In short, ask before you cut/drill; measure twice (or thrice), cut once. Below is a link to a resource thread I compiled which includes a wide range of information that I've found very helpful on my own journey. Perhaps it can be of service to you too!
  2. Joseph, just the other day when you posted your blaster wall I actually thought of your RV mini man cave and wondered what might have become of it. Ironically, my TK-build room has, as of this past week, begun transforming into a nursery. (But don’t fret, progress continues!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I like your thinking, Glen. I actually saw that a while ago but had never made the addition. Thread updated, so Joseph's love of sugru is now doubly represented on here.
  4. I imagine some others would be interested in your edit. Asking for a friend. ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Dan - I'm surprised you haven't yet replicated a Mr. No Stripes bucket HDPE style with weathering and appropriately matching trimming/sanding. Next on your list, right, with the trooper with the best imagery?
  6. Hi David, and welcome to FISD! You're absolutely right that there is an abundance of information here, but also lots of people to help you along on your journey. First up below is a link to the vetted sellers list, quite a few of whom are in North America, and a couple actually in Canada. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ Here are a couple more links to threads which document items you'll need for your build. Are you hoping to purchase a commissioned suit then? https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-ot-tk-build/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/47307-list-of-soft-parts-for-your-ot-tk-build/ And finally, here is an all-in-one, of sorts, thread which includes much of what you'd need to know to build your own kit. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49412-all-in-one-tk-anh-stunt-index-of-resources-by-maskedvengeance/ Feel free to introduce yourself in the New Member Introduction forum: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/5-new-member-introductions/ We all look forward to following along on your journey to become a TK! -Caleb
  7. Great first troop, Joe, approval on 501st day! I see that you don't yet have Stormtrooper status here on the forum, but you can request it at the link below. =)
  8. Welcome Martin! You've round the right place for all things TK-related! Did you order a commissioned suit from RS, or will you be assembling the kit yourself? Even though you're going ESB (awesome!!), I'm sure you'll find some helpful information in the thread below. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49412-all-in-one-tk-anh-stunt-index-of-resources-by-maskedvengeance/ We look forward to seeing you approved and trooping soon!
  9. Welcome trooper-to-be! Last I checked, Terry (Pandatrooper) had taken over the production of RT-Mod armor, but I’m not sure how much that operation got off the ground. I’m sure some others may have more information. Here’s the announcement from several years ago: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/46780-rt-mod-changing-of-the-guard/ As for sizing, I think WTF may also have an armor kit for larger troopers, but as you said, AP also has a good one. Imperial Boots make a perfectly approval boot for TKs, which many of us wear. They’re the 421s, and I’m not sure which ones with the zippers you must have seen. Crowprops also makes TK boots, and they’re tailored to your size. https://crowprops.bigcartel.com/product/jhodpur-tk-white-short-boots Looking forward to following along with you on your journey! 10. Great work, Chris! This makes me wish I had a vac table. Do I recall correctly that the first version of your armor was modeled to be printed and worn, as opposed to being used as bucks?
  11. DO Do do dO DO EIB ATA AP WTF AM RS FISD Curious to see what is picked up. Obviously a lot that are included in Joseph's acronym list.
  12. Yup, that’s exactly the list I shared with Luca! I love FISD history. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I can't speak into CRL interpretation, accuracy, or approval standards, but what I can say is that I LOVE the pauldron game images that you just posted above. The stitch lines that you implemented are definitely present, though their visibility in-game appears to have diminished.
  14. I was gonna say exactly what Andrew said! Major milestone coming up!
  15. Wow, congrats on finishing up your build! Can’t wait to see you you fully kitted up for your submission pics! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Great to see you back at it! I had a long break myself from my TK build. I always loved the Snowie helmets; maybe someday I’ll get my hands on one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Haha, love the image at the top! My plan is to implement the same conversion in the future, and it looks like you have your task list ready to go. The only thing I'll add is that you may be able to get away with using the same holster and simply replace the tan straps with the black loops. I acquired black straps from my holster maker for the easy swap out with chicago screws. Looking forward to following your completion of this next project!
  18. Well in this case I nominate Tony's @ukswrath EPIC Anovos build thread for memeification. Nearly three quarters of a MILLION views and over 1K comments.
  19. Ok, so I couldn't help but repost Luca's @Morgi recent mention of this post in his fantastic FISD meme thread. I'm glad that this compilation has been helpful enough to builders to garner mention in a meme. =) Keep up the great meme work, Luca!
  20. Welcome Paul! You’re in the right place for building a TK, and there will be lots of people here to help you along the way! Post up a WIP thread with lots of photos, and ask any and every question you have. I look forward to following along with your build! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'm sure Shane won't mind me adding these Anovos resources below, since his build is of the same maker, but hopefully these can be helpful to you, Mike. ukswrath (Tony) - ANOVOS (Print PDF by harris.adp) Harbinger (Brien) - ANOVOS kman (Kalani) - ANOVOS Uxorious (Fredrik) - ANOVOS Rat (Jim) - ANOVOS
  22. Two months late to this super fun E-11 party. Is it even necessary to say "excellent work" when describing Joseph's posts such as these, or can we all just come to an agreement that such accolades are assumed? I've now added this to the E-11 section of my resources compilation!
  23. As Glen said, blaster makers have come and gone, and the Weapons Locker forum is the best place to keep an eye out, but below is a list of E-11 options from 2021. I'll add, too, that Hellhounds has been reviving their business with updated rubber blaster features, and we're expecting products to roll out this Q2 of 2022. He'll have both E-11s and DLT-19s, and this is my review of his first version of the E-11 back in 2019. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/51534-e-11-suppliers-2021/ And now back to this wonderful list of soft parts that Joseph compiled in this thread. =)
  24. Welcome, Mike! I'm certain you acquired many skills while building your clone that will serve you well on your TK, so some of this may be unnecessary for you, but here is a link to a TK building resource thread that I compiled. I tried to pool together as much helpful information as possible, but research is still key, as always in this hobby. I look forward to following along with your build progress!
