  1. Good eye, though it's a little too spherical. The 2nd half appears to be more rectangular, but you're match is pretty good for the other details.
  2. It's because I have been buying all my parts separately instead of 1 single kit mainly. I've been doing it all at different times over the year.
  3. I've been having contact with them twice already since placing my order for a e11 kit the other day. They even shipped it and gave me a tracking number. I hope this works out for you! I would try calling them so you get a direct answer.
  4. According to the August Newsletter, they have the draft ready, they're just waiting for someone to assemble the armor and get pics of it. However, don't let no pics stop you from doing it. Just get as many pics as you can from the internet, and use that as visual reference. And go to the first page of this thread to view the CRL draft.
  5. Jim is doing flexible fiberglass, but no one right now outside of him is producing any armor. My costume does have vac-formed components that I cobbled together. -Bucket by Hasbro. I heavily modified the crap out of it, and it's really looking close to what is on screen -Chest and Back armor, Jim Tripon. -FX shoulder bells. -850 Armor Works Shoretrooper shins, abdomen/kidney, and fore arms (modified to be a R1TK) -Thighs and Biceps are and will be done by me with plastic signs (so far, has been successful)
  6. FEI (for everyone's info), the biceps are different construction: The closure is straight on the TFA version, but on this, it's curved and is an overlap construction. Look at the inner side.
  7. Nicely done! This is what the Legion is all about, and I hope that this never goes away! I've always wanted to do something like this with my costume.
  8. It looks nice, I think the major thing is the sizes of the lenses, so that the helmet doesn't appear small. But good work!
  9. I meant the nice thing about weathering (specifically black acrylic/water method) is that it can highlight details that are lost, or not as pronounced.
  10. Is it plausible that the lenses have a red tint? You can see a red tint in the first image.
  11. Yup, just wondering if around 1/8th inch is absolutely necesary to get approved. I mean I don't think people are going to walk up to it and measure it. In regards to how much you can see the detail in trim below 1/8th inch thick, (it may appear too little detail because of how thin it is), one can easily remedy this by weathering their trooper like the Imperial Labor camp troopers, or Jedia troopers, seeing as weathering is an option (yes!!!!!!!!!!!).
  12. All of them: The thighs, the arms, biceps, shins.
  13. Hey guys, so I brought this up to Daetrin, and he wanted to see what you guys thought. Does everyone feel that the trim pieces must be around 1/8th inch thick? Or can it be under as well?
  14. Hey man! Are you intending on using a clear coat? I straight up painted half of my parts, and the abdomen got scratched up from the chest/back armor being worn with it. Is this because I didn't use a primer and clear coat?
  15. I feel that the brow is a little too thick, and maybe too much of a curve in the front of the dome?
  16. Anyone notice how the black section is actually a stripe? Above the trapazoid you can see white, and at the etched line you can see that's where the black stripe starts.
  17. When I saw the full title of this thread... -----------
  18. At least it closely resembles the wands. It still has the squarish look for the most part, with the rounded handle. Could someone brighten the image to see if there are any missing details? Also I think it's important to note that a black holster is seen on the belt for the baton. When it dangles you can see a black rectangle behind it that is stationary.
  19. Hey man! Great job so far! It looks like you put the bump on the wearer's left eye, when it should be the viewers left eye. Sorry I didn't say that right when I brought it up. Should be wearer's right eye.
  20. Looking at it again, I can't tell whether it's square or round. In the prison scene, it looks like Jyn's cylinder shapes baton. It also doesn't look long and extended like the ground crew version. Anyone able to blow up the screen shot and brighten the detail?
  21. It appears to hang upside down on the belt, interesting. It still bears the resemblance of the ground crew wands, which if that's the case will make things a lot easier. I'm going to make a trip to the hardware store tomorrow to pick up some pvc and whatever square shaped rectangular plastic thing I can find (I'm sorry, I don't know what I'm looking for specifically).
  22. Thanks man! I found this as well, where I bet it's the same baton as the prison guard's. It looks pretty close to the ground crew version, and when the door explodes, it dangles a little bit. There's a black rectangle of some sorts behind it on the belt, which I assume is the holster for it to hang by. ---------------
  23. Anyone have good HD photos of the guard at Jyn Erso's prison that goes by her door? He has a riot baton on his belt that may be worth recreating, and I'm assuming it's the same as her batons from her Imperial Ground Crew disguise.
