  1. Do we know where exactly Lucasfilm get's their supply of FOTK boots? I can't imagine them making so many custom boots, unless I underestimate their ablilities...
  2. The baton is still the inaccurate rectangular version. Won't MEPD want the correct one for the deployed prisoner guard? Btw I've been watching more battlefront 2, and it appears that the batons are frequent weapons for troopers. You just have to keep an eye out for any troops running at your character.
  3. Tge baton still isn't right Daetrin. It still has the rectangular section (very inaccurate). I provided pics above of tge updated one if you need it.
  4. Oh indeed it is symmetrical. However the wearer's right eye on the bottom contains a super subtle hump that is mimicking of the OTTK eye bump. Even though the helmet is symmetrical, there's that one detail. And honestly, I understand why they'd do that. It is key to the look of a Stormtrooper, it gives us all that image we remember. Below is the best pic that comes to mind without having to draw on it. You can see how the left one doesn't exactly droop down like the right (viewers). Rather it dives down. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjVq8e8nt7XAhXI7YMKHecQCvkQjRwIBw&url=https%3A%2F%2Fcoed.com%2F2016%2F11%2F02%2Fwatch-gillette-special-edition-rogue-one-star-wars-story-gift-packs-video%2F&psig=AOvVaw3to86PTRuhnkXUXtmB03Fe&ust=1511854324291933 You can especially see how thicker the shading is under the eye in comparison to the other one.
  5. Also, I'm all for taking out the bump on the eye if it's considered not essential to highest tier approval. I know it's there, but in all honesty it's so subtle that at first glance nobody would tell. It's only at certain angles you can definitively see it. I keep meaning to draw an outline of the eyes, but I always am in another room of the house when I remember to go to the home computer and do so xD
  6. Here's the riot baton and holster Daetrin. Feel free to use this version to update the CRL baton Apologies they're all sideways and upside down
  7. Also I know this is probably a pretty obvious answer, but along with all the updates to all TK CRL's (like weathering and battle damage scuffs as an option now), what are the chances that optional backpacks will be brought in? Like can the OTTK wear a Kyber Crystal backpack because it's canon? And can any regular TK from any of the OT and R1 wear the Battlefront jump pack? I think we need a run down of all the options that should be available to all TK's from OT as a standard. Also I fixed up my riot baton holster, I'll get some pics tonight or tomorrow.
  8. Haha I was only using the Hot Toys as an example. Obviously only the real costume should count, only use Hot Toys when there's a detail we have no reference of in a hidden area on the actual costumes.
  9. Also, it may help if we had a guide on what options of brow position there is. There are some real angry looks (the brow that pretty much touches the eyes) and then there's the straighter version (which you see on the Hot Toys version). But sand troopers do not have raised brows like OT, nor do the regular R1TK's. I don't know, what do you think Paul?
  10. I think in regards to the traps that it should be indentations for the black lines in all levels. It's also a pretty key element to maintaining the look of the helmet. I mean, the helmet is supposed to look functional. Unlike the OTTK helmets that just had handprinted parts and decals, the R1TK looks functional.
  11. We should also consider the option of a sling. Below is a pic of a Shoretrooper display from the movie, where the e-11 has a sling. How it attaches to the front is unknown. Granted it's not seen anywhere else, but the fact it's there on this e-11, it could be an option. Like how in TFA, Daniel Craig's FOTK blaster had a sling, however granted that he was the same as all other TK's, not a special variant.
  12. The debate I was bringing back regarding what can be done for basic. There's no thick plastic suppliers where I'm at and recreating those edges are a pain in the butt.
  13. Did you see the cover strip point brought up Daetrin?
  14. Also it's worth noting that all the parts are using overlap methods. There's no side by side connections at all like on ANH. Also I thought we weren't going to have measurements for things like ribbing cause it was too nitpicky for basic? I mean who's going to take a ruler to these things?
  15. Speaking of the cover strips (and I know this is beating a dead horse, I'd really like to see the cover strips for basic reflect that of the other CRL'S for R1 troops, namely, no requirement for beveled edges in basic. You can create the look from a short few feet distance. There are no plastic suppliers where I'm at locally, and ordering plastic online for something so simple is a pain in the butt. Is there a possibility we could let the LMO review this idea?
  16. Sure, we could do that. For basic it could be a stationary non functioning baton (made as if closed up) then levels 2 and 3 can be more functional. That's just my opinion though. I do find it interesting that it's included in the single player story mode. I say that cause those are ROTJ troops and not R1TK's, not to mention no holsters for the baton. However one never knows.
  17. New information regarding what could be the riot batons in R1. I know it's only a possibility, but I had to share. In the new Battlefront II game in the story mode, it appears there's troopers armed with extended riot batons (they literally look like average batons). Go to 1:12:37 and watch as a troop runs at Leia with a baton. There's another one a few seconds earlier but it's hard to see the baton when he falls. Maybe something like the below examples. I thought in one of the ref images above I saw a little piece sticking out of the bottom. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiA4MvokM_XAhXBfyYKHaQ1CD0QjRwIBw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.9safety.com%2Fwebsite%2Fhtml%2Fproduct%2FEX9000_nylon_riot_expandable_baton_a2108.html&psig=AOvVaw0jvQI5DPYUlM9cV7XroEk6&ust=1511335279354761 https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiiur-Aks_XAhWB8CYKHTffCjsQjRwIBw&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.selfdefensesuperstore.com%2Fself-defense-products%2Fbatons&psig=AOvVaw3gtyLg-iX7gxDgnr4E2Qnx&ust=1511335470998480 Honestly I'd go with the latter. 3 part basic sections, and straight black with some texture on the striking section. I feel that in battlefront II these batons need closer inspection
  18. That is an idea. Usually what they do is use elastic attached to the ab and to the chest. That way there's still freedom of movement. However if it was just directly done to the ab, then restrictions apply.
  19. The Jim Tripon backarmor is a little more weighted than the front, so it pulls the chest armor up and into my neck, making it uncomfortable. You seem to have managed it pretty well, but it probably helps that you didn't trim the shoulder straps. I ended up trimming mine, but now think that that probably wasn't the best idea.
  20. How'd you keep the chest and back armor from pulling into your neck? My chest armor always does that to me.
  21. Do the 5 minute 2 part epoxy gorilla glue. Make sure it's in a decent temperature room. I've learned the hard way by leaving the epoxy outside in the cold. Spread open the cracks enough to get the epoxy in it, then put some extra over the crack. Let it sit for 24 to 48 hours. I found it doesn't absolutely fully garden until then.
  22. The fiberglass. I put 2 part epoxy putty on it last night, and so far it seems to be doing the trick. I've done that on other parts of the armor and no further cracks have shown up.
  23. Ok, will get a family member to take a trip to Walgreens xD Yeah I those cracks aren't good. It keeps on getting me concerned honestly, I'm afraid that at the end of every troop it's going to have cracks forming.
