1. The only thing that sticks out is how much of a cutout the bottom of the backplate has. The real piece doesn't have such an extreme angular shape. The angle is more shallow.
2. These are great details for levels 2 and 3 I would suggest the more precise details like measurements are saved for those, with basic being basic. In regards to shoes I remember the FOTK CRL having options for either OT or TFA, which I heard can be done here.
3. No, above the circled area on the bottom of the eye.
4. I would reccomend using weather stripping as the neck hole trim to make it more realistic and rubbery You beat me to it! This helmet actually looks similar to mine! I'm glad someone else went the same route with the brow that I did. Still need the eye bump
5. Great model. If you want full screen accuracy, I would advise adding the "bump" on the bottom of the left eye. You'll see how the right eye swoops down, while the other has a curved bottom. There is a slight protrusion in that area where the bump is located.
6. Sorry for the long period of silence, but now I just came up with an idea. So there have been many mods to this helmet, and the helmet is getting into what I hope is really screen accurate. So instead of writing it down in an update, why not just make a video showing all the mods and explaining what I did? Then later on I would update the first post with all the mods/materials that I bought/did to make it visually accurate. I will let everyone know something.... there is an assymetrical "bump" that is visible on the left eye in this pic. It is taken from the original trilogy helmets. I am already finishing up one I put on the helmet with bondo. You can see how the right eye swoops down on the bottom, will the right eye's bottom has more of an arc.
7. How does this listing look? They say FX in the title, but still possible recast? He has a helmet kit for sale and I've seen that picture before. He doesn't say what company so that makes me skeptical. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FX-STORMTROOPER-ARMOUR-REPLACEMENT-SPARE-2-MM-ABS-REAR-BACK-PLATE-/262988113202?hash=item3d3b502532:g:eY4AAOSwBt5ZGyQ0
8. Thanks for the compliments! In regards to the accuracy, the frown is only a subtle difference, which shouldn't make a difference. I've actually recently changed the eye shape to better reflect the kind of eye shape the helmet's have. I also came up with a solution to "lower" the brow through a cheat I'll post all updates here soon.
9. Ukswrath just told you he disproved, along with another staff member. I'm the only one? And that's not how a staff detachment member should respond to a thoughtful point. I disapprove the usage of a woman's body for sensuality, which the 501st is not meant for.

Also, more than half a year before submition
10. Not objection in the form of watching someone act. Im talking about the objectification of the body. Im not sure if the twilek dancers were just doing acrobatics, but if they were pulling an exotic dancing sort of thing, then it shouldn't have been there. I let a detachment staff know about it, and they agreed with me. The main question isn't if the dancers enjoy their jobs or not (because any women who wants attention from a man can enjoy doing it), it's more, are we pleased by their moves they are making with their body? There's a difference between modeling for outfits and moving seductively just to mess with a man's reproductive system. And in that case, I wouldn't want to represent a group that promotes that. The 501st, as mentioned, is for all ages. It isn't meant to promote this sort of act, more so should it. It is mainly a family friendly organization, and I know this was a private party for the members, but even it should reflect the 501st. I'm just saddened by this (that is, if it is the seductive version of acrobatics), and frankly, for me it takes away from the Legion enough that it makes want to not represent.
11. I know some will disagree with me, but I think it's important to bring this up. I'm not trying to push an agenda. I don't like the idea of having girls figures hanging from the ceiling doing routines for entertainment, because it too much resembles an exotic dancing club. It objectifies the women actresses and women in general as not human beings but as entertainment objects. Especially from the Legion, it kind of takes it away for me. No offense TK4205, I only bring this up for future bashes coming from the 501st. Especially since the Legion represents a family friendly community of Star Wars fans. I know the bash was more for adults, but even that should reflect the Legion and Star Wars too. Again it takes away from the Legion for me, and possibly others. I want to represent a clean, respectful, and wonderful community of Star Wars fans that share in the same passion that I do. There are women in the Legion, and we should do our best to represent them and their dignity respectfully, without compromise. I know I risk getting in trouble for this, but I felt that this had to be brought up for future representation. And TK4205, I assure you that I am not trying to embarrass you, I hope you understand. Sorry for derailing the thread everyone.
12. Twilek girls hanging from the ceiling doing routines?
But good report. It was nice to read all the little details and such
13. For certain the back armor. The chest armor looks close, but the sides look a little different. It would work though I think
14. Yeah, I've kept an eye on that. Just worried that I've aggrivated someone.
15. Wasn't the icomm system the one that can be installed in the helmet, and it came with hovi mics so that it's more authentic? Where's the link to that? And does it have the "ksssh" sound effect?
16. Like the title says, how do you know? This is more concerning conversations, when after a little bit you send another message through the conversation but you get no response for quite a while. Is it possible I'm being ignored for something? Or is it just that I'm doing it through months old conversations which may cause the person to overlook it? I've sent messages a few times to 2 people with receiving no response each time (the sent messages all with time gaps. Not trying to spam or anything), and it's made me afraid I'm being ignored for something.
17. Off topic, but I don't have bluray or would I like to buy another version of TFA. Where could I watch these behind the scenes for it?
18. More updates coming soon Hold onto your butts!
19. He must be, since all the troopers with pauldrons in R1 have packs
In the same shot to the far right is a crystal patrol duty trooper
20. Hey Tim, if it's ok with you, sometime this week I would like to post an updated version of the CRL information seen 2 pages ago (the extremely long CRL post I made, lol!), with the information that has been brought up since. And you guys were saying that you'd like to see an R1 CRL come up soon, well with all the information that has been stated based off of observations you could have just that! Once the updated information may be brought up to this thread, I was wondering if you Tim and the staff could review it and use it to your needs? If so, I'd include reference images gathered from different forums so that you could proof/change it.
21. More information regarding the raised trim on the arm, and leg armor. So what if we went the same route as the other Rogue One CRL's, where the trim is actually just straight pieces of plastic, instead of pieces of plastic with the ends slanted to have a more ramp appearence? Here's what I'm thinking. Lvl 1: *Will be made of 2 pieces of plastic, the top layer being smaller and the ends of the bottom layer visible. *The top layer doesn't meet the ends of the bottom layer, rather it ends before meeting it. Lvl 2: *The top layer is placed inside a sunk section of the bottom layer. It gives the trim an indented look when the top layer is placed inside. *All the edges of the bottom layer are slanted, with the top and bottom slanted at a much more defined/shallow angle.
22. Great job!!! Unless I'm looking at the back armor wrong, is that a square shape coming from the slot? If I recall it's smooth above that. And compared to the reference pic, the top area could be slightly lowered above the box. I dont mean this as picking, just figured you'd like as many accuracies as possible before molding
