  1. Actually, as this genuinely affects me... does the change mean my HWT (approved about two weeks ago) cannot troop at canon events without me purchasing and fitting an orange pauldron, as I only currently have a white one fitted to my costume?
  2. I think it's still to be determined... though Orange will definitely be required above basic (as it is currently). I'm also no longer basic approvable due to pauldron lol.
  3. Not with that attitude
  4. I haven't posted here in a while but I have to say Christine your progress has been fantastic to watch. Thanks for contributing such an amazing thread!
  5. If they do I'll be adding mine... right now I feel like this
  6. There are no non-orange pauldrons in Battlefront 1/2 (the source the CRL is primarily from). There's also no lights or any dynamics in the backpack model from the game. There's also only the scout pistol and the rocket launcher... so if we really want to get knit picky, most of the weapons people have submitted with shouldn't really be on the CRL. There are however arguably other appearances of the HWT... My 2 cents: Move the TD to optional. Move orange pauldron to EIB Move leather pouches to Centurion Three pouches required for Centurion Leave button color ANH style, maybe EIB with the black coloring. Take out wording for belt holes. If they're covered by pouches that's fine. Safe to assume antennas are going, and we're not touching weapon approvables?
  7. That's enamels for you... I just did mine thicker. I find if you only brush stroke in one direction it helps too.
  8. Looks great Ahmad! Can you please post a picture of your sniper knee alignment from both sides on your left shin, and a closeup of the rivets on your thigh ammo belt? Those will be needed for application review. Good luck!
  9. It just means you need to use it as an ESB blaster for your ESB stormtrooper next, right? You've done absolutely fantastic on addressing the things pointed out Solomon, you're going to have one fine looking kit and breeze through Centurion!
  10. looks about right there! Are you using acrylics or enamels?
  11. and Chris has submitted his Heavy Weapon Trooper! Full submission album here: http://imgur.com/a/k2jU1 We managed to get his backpack situated pretty well compared to mine. He's wearing his pouch "straight" as opposed to my angled one... as far as I can tell either is acceptable? The pauldron he's using has a pretty big neck hole and sits a little weird, so I'm going to try bringing the closure smaller with some velcro. Any suggestions for good pauldron makers? I'm not thrilled with these two.
  12. They look a little thick in my opinion. The originals have a very thin black strip around the traps.
  13. Alex, here's an example of the bicep/shoulder strap hook from my husband's armor. You can bend a scrap piece of ABS into the shape and just superglue or E6000 it to the inside of the bicep. It should help them from bowing out:
  14. pack #2 complete... This time I used magnets to squeeze the non-boxy stuff to the pan, then screwed/glued them on. Worked MUCH better. Might just leave the magnets there for extra stability. The belt and the shoulder pouches are also set. Approval pictures coming tomorrow for Chewy when the E6000 dries
  15. Hey Peter, How big are your legs in the thigh area? if there's extra room the whole way, you could try cutting material from both sides on the back and regluing the cover strip. If they're a tight fit at the top but a smaller fit at the knee, you might need to cut them at a slight angle the way down to give them a tapered look that way. Your thighs do look to be hanging at different lengths; what are you using to support them? Your right thigh strap might need to be smaller. Had to do this for both my own AP set and my husband's set because the thighs fit us way too wide. There's some picture examples in my build thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/37704-alays-anh-stunt-build-ap-first-build/page-8#entry516898
  16. Looks good! Great start
  17. This is what I use... not too shabby: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000V5BCGU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If you live somewhere exceptionally hot/are a sweater though, you might wanna buy cheaper disposable ones.
  18. Only things I can say as nit picks are a slight amount of return edge on the top of the wrists still, and maybe pulling your shoulder bells closer. You look friggin awesome dude! GREAT build!
  19. Great job on that belt and shoulders fix! Looking awesome
  20. Looking good Alex! The only thing I see is your biceps seem to "bow" out a little from where they're sitting. Do you have a hook on the inside to catch the strap from the shoulder bell? if not that may straighten them out. Additionally, can you please post photos of your sniper knee alignment up close, as well as the fastenings of your ammo belt to your right thigh? Those are both photos that will be needed. Not necessary for EIB but would be a required change for Centurion, your side shims have a bit of a visible seam. You'll need to match up the edges on the return edge and the shim. You'll also need to go over the bit with a little ABS paste then sand it down until it sits flush. Not too hard and there's a few guides on here! You look awesome Alex, EIB should be no problem
  21. Finished up my pack and belt today, and sent it off for submission. Rest of the photos here: http://imgur.com/a/Ua7qG Finishing up my husband's tomorrow. Pop rivets didn't work worth a damn on most of the boxes, and self-drive screws neither... E6000 to the rescue, though the siphon and tube still feel a little "flimsy". Should I be wearing the backpack higher? It feels like it sits a tad low when looking at photos. Going to dirty it up after basic approval is complete. Got an event this weekend I need to be bright and shiny TK for
  22. Looking good! Your left-shin is a bit twisted out though, might just be the photo. Might also want to remove a bit more of the cover strip from the bottom of both shins, it'll save your boots in the long run
  23. Snowstorm making progress slower... Got the funnel tops primed, just need to rivet the bottom bits, paint, and rivet to the backpack!
