1. Want to let me pre-order one Shawn? I know someone in this household that has wanted one since I first showed him ANH
2. You'll need rubber gloves for EIB and Centurion. All level 2 requirements are "cumulative" into the level 3 requirements. So if nothing else is specified for centurion, you'll need at least the EIB requirements for that item. However, Nomex gloves are really nice for trooping in the hotter months when it gets sweaty and sticky. They're also a bit more maneuverable from my experience. There's nothing saying you can't use either or for trooping. If you really want to use rubber gloves for everything, and live in a place where it gets hot in the summer, I'd suggest silk glove liners for the rubber gloves.
3. Honestly, I'd buy the bits separately because I think it'd be a bit cheaper. Either way I'd ditch the velcro Anovos strapping and go with snaps or hooks.
4. I did the exact same thing with my TD, easy to miss! You'll be there in no time
5. Hey Solomon, great job you're looking awesome! The only problem for EIB I see is your detonator clip position. The clips need to be touching or nearly touching the sides, like this. Moving them over shouldn't be too difficult though. If there's a visible hole from the previous screw, you can fill it with putty and sand/paint over to smooth out the tube. I noticed a couple of other things that I don't think will affect your EIB status but would help the fit/performance. The snaps and rivets on the cod/buttplate strapping shouldn't be painted white for Centurion, so you'll need to remove that paint if you're looking to submit for that. Your hands are showing a lot of area above the gloves, though I think it might just be shifting from wear. You might want to move your forearms a bit lower to "split the difference" between the biceps and the gloves. The inside of your helmet is a bit visible from behind/the sides. You might want to paint the inside black (I personally use plasti-dip), because people love to use flash photography during Troops and it can cause the inside the light up. You can also wear a balaclava to hide some of that, or both even. Finally, your forearms are a bit rotated outward. The bit with the "bumps" should go on the top of the arm, if that makes sense? They probably just rotated from wear, mine do that a lot, but just worth taking a look at Fantastic job Solomon, you should definitely be proud of this build!
6. I always think of the Death Star Trench Run as the "defining star wars" bit to me. My favoruite scene though is the Imperial conference between Tarkin, Motti, Tagge, et al. It shows us the workings of the Empire (Emperor held back by the Senate, which he just dissolved.) The fears of the officers (Tagge suggesting the rebel alliance is dangerous), and the over confidence of their new battle station ("Dangerous to your starfleet, not this battle station"). It also shows us that there is, infact, some wizardry with "the force", and that Vader can kill a guy just by looking at him.
7. Cut out all size of the plastic containers... what a pain! Tomorrow they get a sanding, gluing, and a priming.
8. Good place to start anyways! Do them with velcro so you can remove it if you end up needing to cut some size off them Let us know!
9. Honestly they don't look awful. You might want to just put some padding inside the thighs to fill the gap rather than resizing them if it's not too too big.
10. I swear E6000 solves all the problems in my life Can't get my helmet trim to sit right? E6000 My purse clip fell off? E6000 Wooden door stop broke in two? E6000 Depression? Sniff E6000
11. Your weathering job is awesome Joseph!

I've bought pouches from Anthony Bailey and they're fantastic, can't recommend him enough. What's his T21s made of? Resin?
12. You'll 100% want to use a soldering iron or some other thing to cauterize the hole to prevent stretching/tearing. All the ones I didn't do this for I quickly had to redo the strapping on as they slipped off the Tandy Line 24 snaps. if you use KMan's heating way above, be very very careful! Burns not only hurt like no tomorrow, but they're very bad for your skin and take long to heal! Get heat resistant gloves! For the elastic you'll also want to double it over.
13. Chris and I are building the same pack here as you and Randy. I'll be using the SE-14r or DLT-19, and we're making a Minimag PTL that Chris wants.
14. Joseph, I agree, and I'm not suggesting we re-invent the wheel, especially not with this CRL change for keeping things standardized. However, we will at some point in the future need to decide what the Heavy Weapon Trooper exactly is, and who it's replicating. If that's the Battlefront 1/2 Shock Trooper class (the fella you linked an image of), and that's all it is, then we need to move towards a CRL that replicates that and that alone for weapons, pauldrons, accessories, backpacks.
15. That's "to be determined", though it looks like the first round CRL changes as suggested by Joseph would be backpack only. I'm mostly just spitballing ideas for down the line/gathering research here, so please don't take anything I say as having more weight than "Sarah thinks X... because she looked at some comics and video games" That said, if we decide to include the New Battlefront trooper as a Heavy Weapon Trooper model, then conceivably it could be argued any equipable weapon in that game would be possible... as they can all be used by the wearer. I'm not a huge fan of this as it's a bit too "anything goes" and includes rebel weapons. That said, I don't see reason why the T-21/DLT-19/E-11/SE-14 wouldn't be fine as they're all Imperial guns in that game. Again, just my 2 cents. Great list Joseph! 1: 100%. Discounting Jedi Outcast (which I don't think we should use for much of a source, since it's effectively just a TK with a pauldron) all HWT representations wear backpacks. They should absolutely be a requirement as it's one of the defining features. 2: I'm not sure I totally agree. I think it should either be two pouches, or two drop boxes. No holster. Shoulder pouch required either way. Similar to this guy. this guy. this guy. or these guys. 3: I concur, they don't fit under the backpack. 4: I can respect people wanting to look clean, so I think the option should remain for basic approval only. But if the armor or the backpack is weathered, the other ought to be as well, for basic approval. EIB/Cent should have mandatory weathering. 5: 100% agree. 6: Absolutely. 7: I do not follow what you're saying here, sorry! 8: Antenna should be nixed, it doesn't appear in any versions I've seen so far.
16. Looks good! Only thing I noticed was your kidney-ab connection rivets on your side need to be painted white. They should to be painted white if present.
17. In my opinion, we should make a functional split like follows: Shocktrooper: Trooper emulating the red painted in new Battlefront Uses the "Shock Trooper" backpack CRL Matches the Battlefront trooper alone Heavy Weapons Trooper: Trooper emulating the model from Battlefront 1/2, Empire comic*, Jedi Knight*, or the New Battlefront* Uses the Battlefront, Empire, or Shock Trooper Backpack CRL has to portray one of those "versions"? (IE: pauldron, pouch count, backpack?) *The alternative here is we draw a line in the sand and say it's the Battlefront 2 trooper, exactly, no alternative backpacks, pauldrons, weapons, or pouch configuration. And says sods to Empire comic, JK series, and New Battlefront. **Alternate alternate is we allow some level of mix and match but say it has to be one configuration for Centurion? Spitballing ideas here. I love the flexibility of the HWT as we have it now when it comes to pauldron colors and weapon choices, but I'd also like to keep our GMLs sane and our consistency spot on.
18. I'd suggest shock trooper (the red new Battlefront guy) be a different CRL. As for HWT backpack variance, I'm not sure what best to go by... Probably original BF?
19. And they said playing video games all day would never come in handy
20. You're doing the bucket last? I admire your patience, but I think doing it last is best: the ears can be tricky and learning how to cut ABS. Ends up with a nicer lid
