  1. When they label something as Q2 (though it could mean something totally different) they usually mean that it is in the midst of a second tier ordering process. So if you order it now, there is a possiblity it won't show up at your door until either December or January 2017. It's funny because you think I'm joking, but thats how they work. I ordered something in June of 2015 and it didn't show up until April 2016
  2. Hey, thats pretty good!
  3. Alternative source for you: https://trooperbay.com/abs-plastic-extension-strips
  4. It is best to go with a curve so that it doesn't crack at the center of the corner. Concave corners on abs is just asking for a split sooner or later
  5. It seems they've already opened new items. Several in fact, not just for their SW line. I believe the run for an FOTK ends later this month
  6. There is a new payment plan option for some of their items that they introduced. If you're having money issues, maybe look into that. I've read that they have several payment plan options so it might be worth it, especially for an FOTK
  7. E6000 is no where near caulk texture and hardness, especially in larger clumps and after the 24 hour cure time. If it comes out from under your cover strips it is super difficult to remove if you wait until it cures. Also, if you pull too much out it can basically undo what you've glued because its somewhat like rubber once it's dry
  8. https://www.etsy.com/listing/192791479/star-wars-stormtrooper-e-11-blaster-prop?ref=shop_home_feat_1 Got mine here. Super great quality but it's not a hyperfirm, i still troop with it though and it isnt very heavy so its perfect for me
  9. could also use a dremel to cut it off if you want
  10. I used CA glue (zap-a-gap) on the insides for reinforcement on the arms, but E6000 on the fronts and backs of leg pieces and arm pieces, then CA for inside rienforcement again. E6000 is tough to clean up on the outside IMO, but is great for sturdiness
  11. I haven't shimmed my shins personally, but the process seems kinda complicated mainly because (im assuming) you'd want a piece of plastic that is the same length as the back of the shin. If you have any extra armor shreds that are near that length, all you'd need to do (in my theory) is glue half on the inside then velcro the other side and you'd be good. Goodluck though!
  12. Where do you plan to get your armor from? Im curious because im doing research for a phasma as well
  13. Before you settle on that amount of money for this kit, check out this http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=245993&highlight=TFA%20armor
  14. I wouldn't pay that much money for the armor, considering ANOVOS doesn't have the 'greatest' track record. Then again, i wouldnt buy any amount of plastic for that much, let alone if it was fully assembled
  15. I don't know them personally but i know of people who've been approved with the anovos helmet. Right off the bat though, just looking at the seller "star wars"..? I personally never buy helmets off amazon or ebay, only through person to person or from a licensed seller. My 2 cents
  16. Here is something that will help if you get a little lost, http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/ Good luck!
  17. It's quite possible that it will match, and if it's weathered it will hardly matter because of the visual illusion that it will create, remember that most of the time 'who made the armor' doesnt matter, its how you put it together that gets it approved!
  18. Stormtrooper TD's are not specifically mentioned by name in the original trilogy, but that is what they are. Thermal detonators (the round ones) are however mentioned by name in the movie(s), so we have to call it that. Just geeky specifics to be honest
  19. Honestly they are so small and hardly noticable that you could just get some spray paint from the store (gloss white) and spray a little on some cardboard and just brush a little on. Nobody will be able to tell the difference or even be looking that close at it anyways so dont go overboard

  21. Take a piece of your armor to a professional paint shop and they can use a tool that has a laser that perfectly matches the color
  22. It's somewhat self explanatory. One joint overlaps another
  23. Cool stuff! love the lights too lol
